The Saints were on a roll that year until Brooks got hit on a play and his shoulder seemed alot different after that hit I believe it was John Lynch or Derrick Brooks that put that hit on him,Saints fans know what I'm talking about and they quickly rush Brooks back in that season and it messed everything up that year.Not to mention all the good defensive players we had lost like Sammy Knight Le'roy Glover and Joe Johnson that broke my heart when we lost those guys.

in the 2000 season Jim Haslett helped the Saints have their 1st playofff win. from 2002-2004 the Saints missed the playoffs due to tie-breakers.

Including in the 04' season when the Saints beatin' the Panthers in the last game of the season but the Jets lost to the Rams which kept the Saint from going to the playoffs.

2005 season wasn't the Saints fault it was Katrina's fault especially when the Saints had no "home" Stadium.

McNabb is the least intercepted QB of all time (int./attempts), has taken his team to the SB and several Conf championships (often w/ no running game, throwing 40-50 times a game), but all anyone talks about is getting rid of him... But Philip Rivers, Romo, Hasselback, Carson Palmer, are promoted as superstars... McNabb isn't the best ever and those guys are all good, but the scrutiny on most of them is nowhere near as intense

That's true, Haslett Era wasn't that bad. He is one of my favorite coach. No body on the Saints team felt like playing during the Katrina year. I'm so glad Aaron Brooks era is gone though (that guy was truly bad).

They weren't horrible, they were the epitome of average at this time. From 01-04 they were 32-32, that's about as average as it gets.

Totally agree on the unpredictableness though. One week they'd thrash a contender and the next week they'd lose to the Lions or Browns or some shyte. I'll probably die 10 years before my time because of the early '00's teams from this vid.

Are you kidding? This year the Saints are probably the best in the history of the team. Brees is a million times better than Brooks. I do miss Deuce, he was badass back in those days (I think this was 2003, I was in the stands for all of these plays). Reggie is struggling with fumbles, that much is true. If the team uses him as an outside back and short receiver, he's as good as anybody in the league though, just need to stop trying to run it up the middle with him.
