I didn't like the Cooperalls at the time but they are fun to watch in fight tapes.

We wore cooperalls in HS. The flyers looked like goons in street pants but i liked them. they got rid of them because they say you slid too far and couldn't stop like the shorts etc. Also said the goalies lost the puck more. Bottom line some thuht they were ugly and others just don't like change.

Linesman is the only player I can remember where all players tried to kill him. Goons, scorers, grinders, goalies, fans in stands.

I still use the cooperall girdle with the pads, under grey sweats...for pick up hockey theyre great...I think the league banned them after two seasons because of safety issues...maybe that was just a coverup for the heinous concept in the first place...not nearly as heinous as most of the 3rd Jerseys out there now...or the Reebok Rollerball Designs teams have bought into...Toronto looks like theyre wearing practic jerseys.
