Touch screen huh? Hmm, well, I would easily say it should be translated to the DS, but it seems it won't come out very nicely on the latter because of the limitations of its specs.
Yeah mostly light gun games HOTD Time Crisis, and those basketball shoot out games and thos roll the balls in the hole games, trvia arcade game, so many family time games.
At least up until the beginning of 2006 Brazil kind of barely had a lot of arcades.
I can only remember of one in Rio de Janeiro that was in a mall, and some scattered street fighter machines in random bars so the kids won't annoy their parents while they drink beer.
Arcades in the Americas are kind of dead, which sucks because I really wanted to have some of the machines that they have in Japan, like the Data Carddass.
That statement was completely contradictory, and a paradox. If someone doesn't appreciate or support something, he or she is definitely not going to cry over it when it's gone.
nah that because in north america and europe in the middle of the 90's we discovered internet and online play through lan.Japanse are atually 15 years behind us.
i wonder what kinda hardware this machine has inside of it, short of buying this in arcade form theres no chance were seeing this in america :: shoulders slump in sadness ::
actually america has gotten the rpg kinda game before where you can save your progress. gauntlet legends! i used to be so addicted to that game. that was before the age of card saves though, so your character could only be saved on a particular machine. we need more of those (obviously better than gl).
I know that a lot of Japanese arcade games have a feature where you can buy a game card that saves your progress onto it. I know several Tekken arcade games have the game card feature. Initial D arcade racing machines have the game card as well.
OMG!!! I love japan, man one of us needs to be inivative like Japan and make Arcade games over here like that... An Rpg Arcade! Lol Imagine if WOW was in Arcades, you know how many people would get addicted, and how much money that arcade would make??? Lol
The only real roadblock that I see would be the amount of 'competition' available - if classics like Golden Axe and Gauntlet Legends haven't been remade or ported to the PC or console, they're being played via emulators like MAME and RAINE.
That's not to say that a(nother) coin-operated RPG couldn't be made but you'd have to offer more than a Nethack or Mystara spin-off...perhaps a chance to play as the bad guys would work (particularly in multiplayer?)
Yes, the name of this game is ''Quest of D ver 3.0'' from SEGA. Quit popular. I've stack my Cards ready for the next adventure when I head back to Japan.
This game is expensive as fucking ass...You would get much more bang for your buck if you stick to console or MMO`s.

Thats quest of D. great game,
touch screen RPG you can play mulitplayer mode
also you play with cards which you put inside the machine, it reads your decks and adds to your power ups and such.

The majority of you people don't appreciate or support such things, thus they're gone.
No use crying over spilled milk now.

Only Japanese and to some extent other Asians appreciate arcade games, the rest of you don't really.
