glad they have the technology to do what they can, but too bad that this still happens. the Doc know more than they used too... to better understand where voice comes from and how the artificial larynx would fit in, i like "the voice is like a car" video on youtube...

if ur reading this u cant go back there was a dad who got pissed couse he got layed off so he went home took a knife than went to his 13 year old daughter and slit her neck! if u r reading this and dont forward to 10 vids the 13 year old girl be sitting on the endge of the bed waiting for tha when u wake up who ever takes care of u will find u in the tube full of bloode with ur throat slit and than the 13 year old girl will come to who ever takes care of u so hurry dont be the that unlucky 1

dear bob, I know how painful it is to lose your voice.. I hope and pray that someday the doctors will come up with a better treatment for voice problems.

that is not a microphone it is a artificial larynx! it is a speech aid that helps him speak :)

Don't you think this is a little harsh? Imagine if you woke up one morning, went to speak, and no sound came out...you're forming words, your lips are moving, but there is....silence.

i have to agree with my friend! he has had a hard life and that gives you absolutely no right to make fun of him just because he has no voice!!!!! just because he uses a speech aid to speak does not mean he don't have a voice witch in a way he does have a voice! so i suggest you be nice to my friend!

Strange story actually, I was pretty young and I lived in an apartment. I never heard of this before when I was young but as I was walking up the stairs, I heard this type of voice in the elevator and I just shit a lot of bricks. I was pretty freaked out. But I know someone who uses one so I'm used to it now.
