I will always remember this song because I asked a girl for a her number on my last day of school (9th grade) and spoke to her all summer on the phone. This song came out that summer and I often played it to her over the phone. On the 1st day of school that fall, I found her, but she had cut her hair fairly short. I was so taken back that she noticed my disappointment and we never talked after that. I just wanted her the way she was.
