  • Better than Skyrim

  • Absolutely timeless music. Which is one of the greatest compliment that can be given. Songs that are not treated as a fashion accessory, never loose their flavor and touch on something deeper.

And lets not to forget to give John Paul Jones credit for what he brought to the music of Page. Zeppelin was definitely a sum of it parts.

  • ''''escalibur "'''

  • Jimmy Page is a man who wrote music that, although different genres, rival the genius works of Chopin, Mozart and Debussy. People like that don't exist anymore. It's like Page was the last one.

  • How people call the mainstream stuff that's out right now music I don't know? This here is REAL music, soul, & mysticism at its finest. The esoteric sounds of the universe translated by Zeppelin, the travelers of both time & space. I don't lose hope in good music breeding, & rebirthing. We still have brave enough warriors, & jedis who dare to dive into the madness of love, and music. Just watch. 2012 will be a good year in music! This song is so divine! I love their portrayal of the "know" -Rabz

  • i wonder this 4 piece band sounds like an orchestra

  • I wish I was young in 70's, not in 90's. ._.

  • @mariaesn well at least in the 70s i wouldn't have to read your unoriginal, boring comment

  • @chewtaggeer Well, did see it? So we both agree. =) Now shut up, it's not my fault that I (and many people around the world) don't like actual music. And if this is annoying you... Well, better you than me.

  • This is magical

  • Can't fuck with the Plant!

  • I've heard certain - guitar - artists call Jimmy a 'lazy' guitarist (coz he uses dropped tuning!!!). Now I ask you; (semicolon really needed?) is THAT lazy? One of the most beautiful pieces of guitar music ever written in modern times.

  • The MOST beautiful song ever! My Family knows to play this song at my funeral =D

  • Woah, is this footage from the Song remains the same? Or.. where is it from?

  • @Familyguyaddict01 yes it is...sadly not much on the net now. This is what turned me from piano to guitar...although i don't dislike the ivory...i was just blown away by this video (VHS)! lol

  • Sensacional. Obrigado. Gracias. Danke. Thanks.Prego

  • 3:43 falcon punch!!

  • Robert Plant is in one word: GORGEOUS! I love him and I love Led Zeppelin.

There's a saying: "And God said: 'Let there be rock'; and there was Led Zeppelin".

  • Awesone

  • @KaiiSt1 It is TSRTS, the movie. Check this the song remains the same at IMDB 1976 movie

  • watching this part of song remains the same makes me feel like i just read a couple chapters of lord of the rings

  • robert picks up a fat doober at the end of the tune look at that thing!! the double doober

  • im pretty sure that what the video is trying to get across in the story is that plants character eats a mushroom and then trips him vanquishing bonham and rescueing the princess damn saong remains the same wasa master piece

  • Thats what we get when corporate takes over. Thank god for Jewish people making sure the rest of us don't enjoy life w/o paying in cash for it.

  • Actually most of them would be christian as most of the record companies are American and British.

  • YOUTUBE OFFICIALLY SUCKS!!!

  • Where can i see this with audio?

  • you won't see it on youtube forever! the only purpose to see it is only on google-video ! there you can find actually the same stuff like in youtube but in other sites or what! viacom, google or even atlantic records have destroyed Led Zeppelin recorded stuff in youtube.

fuck atlantic records, they should burn in hell for copyrighting this beautiful stuff :-[

  • google vid

  • i don't know why those reviewers are hating this dvd and cd :( they were the best band in those years 72-73

  • This has always been my favorite Led Zep song - along with "Stairway to heaven", you can´t help...

Strange that I would also rate "Rain" by the Beatles as one of their best -let´s say 3 - songs.

  • I agree, this is by far the GREATEST song ever written and played! I highly doubt anyone will beat it. LED ZEPPELIN. The GREATEST band there ever was and will be!!!!

  • Haha! Robert picks up a joint that someone threw at the! Hahahahaha!

  • 5:07 - 8:15 is the lightning and thunder of the storm I like to call "John Bonham".

  • best song ever. dare u to disagree.

  • OMG Robert Plant was the SEXIEST man alive ... Great song, GREAT band, just awesome!

  • at 59 he still is.

  • This is just great song.

  • ipls include jimmy page too, 4kep6

  • This is religion.

  • the best part 2:58 3:14 great!!!!

  • You have to realize he was a Golden figure. We all loved him madley. it sounds old world. But he was the one...my goodness he was...

  • Beautiful tune

  • presence was released in 1976

  • beautiful Plant

  • plant is legend!!

  • Good song to listen to on a rainy day. Also bought the concert on Blu-ray which is nothing short of amazing to see on Hi-def.

  • I love Robert, and Jimmy is amazing

  • Quanto amo Robert, Jimmy, John Paul e John ....

  • que balada tan buena!!! eso si es musica.

  • 5:05-5:50 best part

  • Pretty impressive falcon...it ran off two guys LOL

  • Maybe it's because I haven't watched my TSRTS dvd in a few months, but I could have sworn the audio take they used for the movie was different than the one included in this video.. maybe I'm losing it.

That being said.. I absolutely love this song. It ranks high up there with 'Since I've Been Loving You' and 'Ten Years Gone'... Love it.

  • how can this be in 1973 when the song came out on the Houses of the Holy album which was 76?

did they write it much earlier, then just put it out later?

    anywayys amazing song.

  • Houses of the Holy came out in March of 73. This was new at the time tho.

  • oh oh.. i couldve sworn i saw 76 on the back of the Houses of the Holy album.

  • Hey Vilverin1, Houses of The Holy was released April of 1973 as far as I recall.

  • yeah, i couldve sworn i saw 1976 on the back of the houses of the holy.

  • Adorei o videoclip.

    Parabéns,

    Celia

  • robert plants voice is in top form in this song!!

  • I was a 15 year old stoner listening to this song on vinyl records and now my 14 year old son (who doesn't smoke or drink) is learning to play this and he's nearly perfect. It requires special tuning.

  • my favorite song ever the most soothing zep song...perfect

  • DIDO....I feel 15 all over again...Time Flys. Im glad to have found your comments, and i love my son too :-)

  • Good for you. Isn't life beautiful when you see your son play something that you love when you were a teen.

  • Is possible to play also in the standarg E tuning... But is a bit harder ^^

  • Yes you can. I can play it in standared tuneing. It's only a little harder but it doesnt always sound right. If you want to learn there is some video on youtube of a guy with a classical guitar that will show you it in standared tuneing.

  • I just learned a week ago by tabs. :) Simply you can find it at ultimate guitar. However even if it isn't so hard to play, is very hard to sing. :)

  • This is my favourite Led zeppelin song, i love it, every bit of it and i bet Plant loved playing his part in the vid.

  • precioso

  • nice

  • lol is that a joint at the end?

  • sure is..sure is

  • lol plant kicks theyr ass almost whitout lifting a finger LOL!!!!!!!! this song owns but the vid is on some bad ass drugs

  • this song somehow makes me think about the life that you wil se after getting hit by a car, shot by a ak47, eating a poisoned pie or posibli getting my ass kickt by an old lady on her last period

  • this song is realy awesome, but come on, this vid is fucking ridiculous !

  • This "video" is actually just a cut from their concert film, "The song remains the Same" which was released in the 70's long before MTV videos were even conceived.

Of course it looks ridiculous now...It's about 30 years old.

  • I honestly think that this is better than stairway to heaven. Controversial but only my opinion

  • totally agree, actually

  • I have this on The Song Remains The Same Dvd its so amazing it has 26 chapters listen to it every night

  • Where do I buy it?

  • You can buy it at bestbuy or at a used games and dvd store

  • ACE!!!

i read somewhere that this song was their second stairway to heaven. i wouldn't compare the two, but this song really owns.

  • Comment removed

  • the fans arent always correct

  • The Song Remains The Same is an uneven album, but this is the best version of this track.

  • This is my favorite Zep song, along with ten years gone and Achilles Last Stand. I love Zeppelin. They are the best rock band ever!

  • I almost frecked when I saw this youtube video.....Led Zeppelin-Satan's Influence on Rock Music (part1).... I never knew

  • They cut out the ad libs by Plant when they go to the hard rock stuff... That was the best part...

  • this live version is better than the studio.

  • This is the most underrated song ever! PURE GENIOUS! The only Zeppelin songs I think can really compare to this are Babe I'm Gonna Leave you and Ten Years Gone.

  • Wow someone else who rates Ten Years Gone, Babe AND Rain Song highly.

Ten Years Gone is my favourite Zep, but this comes pretty darn close, as does Babe.

  • u can have SO much fun ... with me q

  • Zhukov101 wrote:

"The greatest song ever written. Absolute genius, nothing less" you are so right...Zeppelin at there very best..............

  • Robert Plant picked up joints that were thrown for appreciation

  • Gay? Plant's had more trim that you have had breaths!!! Ass Clowns. Go back to your Rap or your Winger and don't embarrass yourself with your opinions.

  • Led Zeppelin is not any one person. It is a collection of those who have achieved rock god hood (side by side with bands like Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Queen).

Also, it's the 70's. You'de probably expect this. And even if Plant was gay I'de still like Led Zeppelin.

  • Gay? He got more pussy than probably any man alive (for free, that is)

  • oh yea...be sure of that...all of them got so many womens we cant imagine

    AND ALL FOR FREE

plus he is a great rock star

now thats a great life i would like to live

  • hes gay?? wtf there is no he in led zeppelin besides that the other members have been with more women that u will ever be in your life

  • The greatest song ever written. Absolute genius, nothing less.

  • Peter Clifton, suggested that the entire show be recreated at Shepperton Studios in August 1974, on a mock-up of the Madison Square Garden stage. Close-ups and distance footage of the band members could then be slipped into the live sequences. When it was agreed that the band would meet at Shepperton Studios for filming, John Paul Jones had recently had his hair cut short, so he had to wear a wig. Robert Plant's teeth had also been fixed between the 1973 and 1974 filming's.

  • thanks for ruining the movie for me

  • Esa cancion da dms paz...

    Simplemente hermosa.

  • led zeppelin

    says evrything

    nothing more

  • whoa, I think this was hsot in bolinas, COOL, IM FROM BOLINAS!!!

  • ø„¸¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨

¨°º¤ø„¸ LED ZEPPELIN „ø¤º°¨copy and paste if

    ¸„ø¤º°¨ ROCKS!! ``°º¤ø„¸your a led zep fan

    ¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¨°º¤ø :)

  • its amazing how many zep vids there are where the commenting always leads to lord of the rings fuckin brilliant.......does any one think that this song could be about faramir and eowyn';s love for one another

  • great great song...and the DVD too, awesome stuff I remember watching this way back when.....love it, man

  • This tune gives such a warm and fulfilling vibe that can only touch a person who is truly deep...this amazing melodic sweeping flowing vibe has brought the true self in me to the suffice and has allowed me to breath and appreciate every breath of fresh air!! peace and love everyone

  • Plant is a Tolkien's fan.

  • The movies have nothing on the books. I don't know how the movie could leave out the entire Battle of the Shire at the end of the return of the King. What a letdown.

  • i felt the same i was shocked when saruman died in the movie at isenguard..i wanted to see worm tounge slit his throat a great chapter in the book that wasnt even touched upon

  • The Battle of Bywater. I agree completly. Wanted to see the hobbits kick some ass and sadly they didnt even attempt it.

  • yeah they hinted at it in the movie when sam had his flash backs about the shire in flames and the hobbits enslaved with orcs crakin whips.but then they just left it out..they should have left out aragorn singing at the end and used the time to do at least 1 hobbit fight in the shire

  • no kiddin man that would of been much better

  • Oops, just saw this. Posted to the reply above.

  • in fantasy.. Led zeppelin is so perfect. the hair the dress and mystical music stylings...their songs are like beautiful stories to through sound. another reason why hearing their music can change my mood/day. they simply take me somewhere else.

  • that's deep

  • All I'm saying is that I beleve July 28th 1973 was the peak of there playing live. After this they didn't play another concert until December 1974 as a warm up to the 1975 tour. Anyone would be rusty and they were in Chicago in January 1975. From December 1968 up until July 1973 it was almost non stop touring. Therefore in my opinion this was there best live version of the song.

  • I CANT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SONG!!!

  • "Upon us all ohhh a little rain must fall ju ju ju just a little rain ohhhhhhhh"

Man, it blows my mind when he says that

  • Can anyone help me? Wich song is played in the main menu of the bonus dvd from the dvd The Song Remains The Same?

  • is it just me or is rob plant acting a wee bit gandalfish?

a real beaut tho, the rain song. i like listening to it to fall asleep after a stressful day.

  • lol I know what you mean, well he was a fan of the Lord of the Rings :P

Yeah I think him and Jimmy both had this sort of olde-english fantasy mystique about alot of their music

  • i can't place it, but in some song he said Gullem the evil one crept up and slipped away with her. also the hobbit cartoon has been put to their music. remember now, this was the time when books were actually read

  • Yeah, the song you're thinking of is Ramble On, great song.

  • They were fans of Lord of the Rings the Books, not the movies. The entire band was dissapointed with the movies. I saw an interview they did in London a few years ago.

  • I was obviously referring to the books, I never mentioned the films...the book is full of detailed, lengthy descriptions

  • well, Led Zeppelin was only BIG fans of the Lord of the Rings...

  • I listen to anyone's version of "Im gonna crawl" - especially those who have a live string section.

  • lOVE THIS SONG

  • Does anyone knows where do the clips of Robert riding a horse, picking up a mushroom, etc where taken, and for whta purpose??!

  • for the movie "the song remains the same", circa 1973

  • Robert Plant was captured relaxing on his Welsh country farm with his wife Maureen, and children Karac and Carmen. His fantasy sequence involves him being a knight rescuing a fair maiden who is a symbolic representation for his vision of the ideal - his personal search for the Holy Grail. Scenes from the sword fight were filmed at Raglan Castle in Wales while the sailing, horseback riding and beach scenes were shot at Aberdovey then Merionethshire and now Gwynedd, in October 1973.

  • Yng Gymru - yr hen wlad - Pen yr Aur - Hill of Gold (loosely) - Magic Mushrooms - the end/edge of the world - Avalon - Afallon - Hidden/ Hudol - Doniau Cudd - Hidden Talents - The Quotient - Just a little rain - Does dim ateb - Carreg ateb - Does neb un ateb...

  • "Upon us all, a little rain must fall." My favorite lyric from a song, ever. It's so true. Such an utterly beautiful song. =)

  • Sweet,gentle and profound song,simply thrilled.

  • one of the best songs ever!!!

  • Speak to me only with your eyes...a time when words are not needed, the best time. Kudos to Robert for writing that. Some of Pageys best guitar work.

  • what's the name of this movie

  • Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains The Same

    Excellent song

  • this is my favorite part of the movie. its a song for the great peaceful forests and robert plant shows it very well.

  • "speak to me only with our eyes.."

i stop breathing when i hear this part of the music

  • This is my Favorite song !

    i love Led Zeppelin :D

  • plants scenes in this movie are always the best

  • whoa did robert plant just defeat neil peart in a sword fight?

  • UNPOSSIBLE!!!

  • CONTRA-POSSIBILITYNESS?

  • love robert plant! he looks so handsome here, and i love how timeless the song and clip are. happy birthday, golden one...

  • Happy late Birthday Robert Plant, eres lo maximo!

  • happy late birthday robert greatest frontman of all time have always kept your music pure through good and bad
