  • The Klan doesn't represent all confederate flag followers.

  • Btw, Tha Nazi rag stood for anti-semitism,loss of freedom, gov't control in every aspect of your daily life. The Rebel stood for individual freedom, small gov't , less fed gov't control over the state. Btw, many Jews fought for the confederacy so did many Blacks. Google "Black confederates" to see what the NAACP doiesn't want you to see. Note the KKK hates hearing about Black confederates , too.

  • I guess you missed the voting polls when 30% of Blacks in Mississippi voted in favor of the rebel state flag. Actually students in general , regardless of race, get a better education system in the Mississippi, etc than they do in Harlem, South Central LA, Newark, Southside Chicago, Hartford, Detroit, etc. Instead whining about a flag you know NOTHING about, why don't you focus on Yankee's failing inner city school system?

  • @kevyster thats the Yankee way: Pointing out other people's faults to make theirs less noticeable.

  • also, the flag you used in this video is the confederate naval jack, the NAVY flag of the CSA. the real confederate flag is the "blood stained banner." get your history straight man. only 6% of the south had slaves. ulyses s. grant (USA) had slaves... Robert E. Lee (CSA) didn't. it is completely the fault of the kkk, neo-nazies, and white supremecy that have given that particular flag such a bad name.

  • mississippii was a confederate state. so you cant be suprised that it has a confederate battle flag on it. i fly the confederate battle flag outside of my house, and i am not racist.

  • What say me?

As the descendant of a Confederate soldier I say this. The individuals who have misused the flag do not represent it, nor do individuals who are not native Southern have the right to define it.

Can an Arab define what the Star of David stands for? NO! So what gives racists and the ignorant the right to define my ancestors flag?

Plus your statements suggest that all African Americans support your views, which is of course bullshit propaganda on your part. Nice try!

  • Comparing Nazi Germany to the Confederacy just shows your ignorance and your stupidity. Hitler was one of the biggest threats to State's Rights this world has ever seen since Lincoln. Comparing a National Socialist totalitarian dictatorship to a Limited State's Rights based Constitutional Republic is rediculous and a disgrace to Jewish people everywhere. The only Jewish military cemetery outside of Israel is the Jewish Confederate Cemetery in Richmond!

  • Also the the first Confederate Attorney General, Secretary of War, and Secretary of State was a Jew named Judah P. Benjamin! He was also featured on the Confederate 2 Dollar Bill! If you wanna look for a Nation to compare to Nazi Germany and Hitler then look the the North, Hitler claimed that Lincoln "inspired" him. The US wanted a highly centralized government just like the Germans!

  • @HeritageNotHateProd It's also a disgrace to all Decent Americans to make up such an ignorant and unrealistic bigoted comparison. Hitler hated Dixie but he idolized Stalin and wish he had the stomach to be as sinister as Stalin was.

  • They shouldn't be that proud to hang that flag any way. I doesn't really belong to them now. They got their asses kicked during the civil war, and guess who kicked it? That flag belongs to the ones that one that war.

  • In 1905, President Theodore Roosevelt signed an executive order returning the captured battle flags to the Southern States.

In effect he gave them back to the Southern People! Meaning WE own them and WE define what they mean, not walking condom commercials like you.

  • for the last time, our flag is not ''RACISM''. and the swastica has absolutley nothin to do with our flag. the missisippi state flag is a beautiful flag. im from Alabama and i wish ur flag was like Missisippi's. the kkk was the only people that used our flag like the swastica, and they are idiots. but it has nothin to do with the swastica, we southerners like black people and jews. im one of the non-racist people u can meet. and i like black people, just not the ones that r thugs and that steal.

  • Hogwash. This guy hasn't studied the issue enough to make an unbiased point about it. Southerners (both black and white) fought side by side in the second revolution (aka civil war). Equating the confederate flag with the nazi flag is one of the worst comparisons you could stretch.

  • Just because some retards to inbred to think straight use it to represent hate and slavery things it doesnt even really mean doesnt change its real meanings. Theres whites and blacks that know the historical truth about the war and the purpose of this specific flag. Those same racists use the Stars and Stripes to yet people dont consider that to make Ol Glory a hate symbol. Therefore it is impossible for to have such negative affects on St.Andrews Cross. (Confederate Naval Jack/Battle Flag)

  • No its not racist. You know why? Nobody can give a logical reason for it to be racist. NOBODY. Not in the 143 years since the wars end. The war wasnt about slavery facts prove that. Groups like the KKK and NSM using it because they are to inbred to know what it means cant make it racist. Simply because they also use the Stars and Stripes and apparently them using that flag doesnt make it racist. Theres just zero logical reasoning behind thinking its racist. End of story.

  • the Flag of the USA represent the slave ships.

KKK of the north held and still hold the american flag. Get the facts.

Yankee school books have always lied by about southern heritage.

  • The American flag pepresents the United States of America and freedom. Not slave ships. I fly Old Glory in front of my house on Staten Island, NY.

  • I'm sorry I mispelled represent. I made a mistake. The American flag represents USA and freedom. The Confederate flag represents America too. It is part of America.

  • That flag is for the veterans who gave their lives in defense of the South!

    1 star!

  • I say you're full of shit! You wrong about history and you're wrong in your twisted logic that education and your bias against the Battle Flag are somehow connected. Why not blame your own people for lack of education. It's there for the taking, so let's hear another stupid reason for black failure.

  • Any time you have to compair something to Nazis you don't have an argument. You, don't have an argument.

  • I am in the process of doing a fundraiser to put a Confederate Flag on I-30 in Texas.

We have already purchased the land and the flagpole will be between 200 to 250 feet

in height. We have to make sure that we are within FAA guidelines so we won't interfere

with air traffic. We are scheduled to raise the flag in the late spring of 2008.

  • I'm white and I never said that the rebel flag was a symbol of hatred. I don't think that the civil war was ALL about the slaves either. I believe the war was fought so that way southerners wouldn't have to pay outrageous tariffs that the north had imposed on them. Similar to the colonists rebelling because they didn't want to pay taxes imposed on them by a govt. who didn't know them. Heritage not Hate.

  • Southern Heritage Not Hate!

  • Yes I do. Do you honestly think that the state flag affects how teachers and administrators run public schools? I think not. Remember, Mississippi voters, and more than half of the black population, voted to keep the state flag earlier this decade. How do you explain that?

  • The confederate flag is different from the Nazi flag, there wasn't a genocide of African Americans. In fact, many African Americans supported the confederacy and even fought for it. A portion of them weren't even enslaved. If you feel the flag is a symbol of hate, use your voting power to change it. If the majority of the community feels the flag should remain, I suggest you either ignore the flag, or distance yourself from it.

  • It wasn't the government who choose to keep this flag, the ppl of MS voted and we choose to keep it.

  • this question is not about individual right to expression. This question is about whether or not our governments can legally expound one creed over another. the fact that most people use the "heritage" argument only backs up my point. the state is showing favoritism to those people who identify with this flag as a part of their heritage. Is that constitutional?

  • Is that why the KKK loves the flag so much? It's a symbol of their heritage?

  • The KKK also used the American flag.

  • The KKK only used the American flag. The number of people who used the Confederate flag was so minute that only the radicals amongst radials ever flew it. Also, if the Confederate flag is such a "hateful" flag of racism and slavery, why don't people attack the Stars n Bars? That's racist too, then isn't it? HYPOCRISY Keep our flag of patriotism and freedom flying!

There is no connection to the Nazi flag. If someone tries to bring that up, they have no valid opinion. END OF STORY.

  • the flag is actually ot about racism at all

if you learn about the history of it and the reasons for going into the civil war

    heritage not hate

  • If ppl learn the true history they will see that this flag is not about racism. And how bout the fact that a good % of the ppl who voted to keep that as our state flag where black. HERITAGE NOT HATE!!!

  • exactly!!!

  • Heritage not Hate.
