  • Now try shooting up.

  • shit needs rifling to actually be a rifle

  • good lord, i almost didnt see the bullet

  • If you reduce the size of the final ball (the one fired) you exert the same potential energy into something with less mass and can achieve a higher velocity. I'd love to see this done with a series of berings slowly reducing in size.

  • what the? The gauss rifle i knew used MicroFusion cells and dealt explosions upon impact, as well as a critical hit!

  • @MayerEO Yeah game gauss rifles.... but Stalker and Fallout versions did what you expect from a game. Not the real stuff

  • I want...I think I'm gonna' make... :D

  • Comment removed

  • Whats the feet per second on that thing?

  • Are the steel balls magnetic?

  • It's not bells lol, it's magnets that make the noise.

  • Is your wall made of spittoons?

  • have you ever considered slow motion?

  • @eagames456

Bullets are the reason why we don't use arrows.

  • shit :D

  • future weapon~

just a piece of wood and some magnet xD

    im just joking xD

  • damn thats pretty cool

  • @sannyskate

    Your .45ACP vs my .308 Remmington :P

  • @GunnyBobbunny your tiny bullets vs my arrows.

  • @sannyskate

    You vs my .22 :p

  • You vs my .45 ACP

  • does 6 but upgrades +1

    starcraft ref

  • huh, this doesnt look anything like the gauss rifle in fallout 3.....nah jk bro this is pretty cool.

  • This would obviously be useless, except against bugs, but does the power amp up if you up the scale?

  • Good experiment.

  • lol this weapon suck :) ...but I can't do better then that,so good job :)

  • thats what a gauss rifle is? hmm i thaught it was something completely different.

  • @lildickheads This is exactly what a gauss rifle is, though a very simple one.

  • @lildickheads same here, I always thought it was that cool cannon from mechwarrior: mercs.

  • ill give you 40 bucks for it.

  • Dude... You should sell this... I mean, look at bb guns and all, but those take time to load y'know? How far do they fly? How fast do they fly?

  • But the question is......Will it blend?

  • I see it makes music

  • Technically not a rifle,

but good job none the less :)

  • lag between hitting trigger an bullet firing

  • hey dumbfuck stop being a dick and show us yours

  • MAGNETS: HOW THE FUCK DO THEY DO THAT?!

  • thats nothing like what a gauss rifle would really be like, gauss is a measure of and amount of energy equal to 1-10000th of a tesla if a gauss rifle were real it would probably be similar to the gauss rifle in FO 3 and FO:NV just the actual thing would burn and shock whomever would be foolish enough to stand in its way, leading to the conclusion that first of all IT WOULD NOT SHOOT A METAL BALL

  • @AlexanderVetrili do you know what a gauss gun is?

  • @AlexanderVetrili Because units of measurement alone can cause damage to people... To do what you are exlaining means shooting something spherical and metal (ZOMFUCKINGG a metal ball) at roughly the speed of light squared, give or take a few trilion miles per second.

to the maker of the video, this is realy awesome. keep making videos. (if you are taking suggestions, i would like to see a shot gun effect and shoot 3-4 with one trigger pull.) if not disregard the fool who is bugging you.

  • @tronoification dude. no offense, but u have no idea what ur talking about. theoretically, light speed is the maximal speed that anything can travel at, and thats only applicable in the vacuum of space, 0 friction and thats 299 792 458 meters per second (a quick google search tells you that). as you can see, that's no where near several TRILLION MILES per second. but yes, the video is pretty cool.

  • Have fun reloading.

  • Post a how to build! =D

  • @oR3PTiLEo uhhh im sure this video is pretty self-exclamatory

  • Now try to do a gaussian bazooka

  • @BlueBinProductions naw it feels like a small poke when it hits u

  • One step closer to that epic railgun/gauss gun.

  • how does that work? i know its with magnets but how?

  • @Ir0nF1st924 the force of the impact of the first magnet at the trigger being pulled into the other magnets is transferred to the last magnet resulting in it being shot out

  • @unknowFAN That is? Atleast the civilian version...

  • @TurkishGamer92 yeah but it sort of "bolt action" so it sucks.

  • @000JERRY0000 Obviously :D

  • It only fired about 3 feet ir cant really be called a gun or rifle can it.

  • but will it blend?

  • I like how no one has pointed out that there seem to be bells fucking everywhere in that room

  • @Hydros92 r u sure its not metal hitting metal; -_-

  • ... Try electro magnets with normal magnet. Also in the place of wooden stuff, use plastic with super cooled ice filled inside it.

  • F*cking magnets, how do they work?

  • @WouterQOTSA

    It's MAGIC!

  • his strength and energy weapon skills aren't high enough

  • O.O My f*cking god!

  • How far does it go

  • how far does it fire?

  • ага,враги будут умирать от смеха

  • The bullet is so fast, it's travelled around the world five times before it hits the lamp shade.

  • thundersaver magnet gun is pretty much the same thing as a gauss gun

  • Can this be done with rare earth magnets?

  • are you sure its a guass gun and not a coilgun/magnet gun?

  • @thundersaver I see no coils

  • I love how it shoots the ball at high speed but you have to wait so long for it after you pull the trigger :P

  • Could I have a schematic for this basic gauss? Im trying to upgrade this version slightly

  • I want it

  • what the fuck is the point? You can't even do anything with it,.

  • @kalep00 the fun of building it and saying "I built a magnet gun". Now if it is powerful enough to kill the you get MORE bragging rights.

  • ...not what I had in mind...

But still cool! Just give it electro-magnets powered by Xenon-Diflouride batteries so you can snipe some bugger 2km off =D

  • ah so a gauss rifle uses magnetic charges to fire the projectile?

  • @JAEProductions1 Essentially yes. It uses electromagnetic forces to rapidly accelerate an object the further along the length of the shaft it moves. Thus, as long as the design is consistent, an electromagnetic rifle becomes exponentially more effective the greater its length is. Theoretically speaking, a gauss gun a bit bigger than heavy artillery could fuck shit up.

  • @Gilithus It should be noted that a Gauss rifle using a solenoid only applies a force on the projectile until exactly halfway through its length (if current remained in the wire, the projectile would oscillate). This is compensated by complicated timing systems, however it is very difficult due to the residual induced charge that remains on the coil. This issue is often fixed by the use of a heavy duty capacitor which dissipates its stored charge before the halfway point of the solenoid.

  • @Dougdoccon true story

  • Ding!

  • can you replace the magnets with coil electromagnets hooked up to a battery?

    that would be cool.....

  • @MrGanglius

that a coil gun .. the original idea for the gauss rifle/gun whatever ( from the guy who came up with the idea)

  • @ethan600y well, why just 1?

  • HOLY SHIT MAN THAT IS SO INTENSE! THAT SHOULD BE MADE ILLEGAL! D:<

  • damm thats cool

  • I think he's compensating

  • Bro Tip: Use more magnets

  • Can the last steal marvel go thru a sheet of paper??

  • cool not that it fires plasma but the mechanisem is same so maybe soon will have plasma shooting gause rifls

  • @avak5 If you are referring to Fallout's Gauss Rifle, it does not fire plasma - it fires 2mm bullets rapidly accelerated by advanced Gaussian coils. A 9mm pistol is barely effective in real life compared to an assault rifle, so obviously 2mm's on its own wouldn't do shit. But, due to the electromagnetic acceleration, the 2mm bullet is extremely powerful due to what is essentially momentum, causing intense hydrostatic shock. Just picture what a 9mm Gauss rifle could do 0.0

  • We can make weapons without gasses and pallutans SAVE THE PLANET MAGENIT GUNS TO SHOOT THINGS WITH!

  • @MilesPichuLover

When we perfect magnetic weapons they'll be with extremely powerful electromagnets which take quite a bit of electricity in short more pollution through fossil fuels.

  • Ding! Dinner's ready!

  • Go to your address bar, after the word YOU and before the word TUBE

  • @MrCARLODEXTER What?

  • i made one that appears similar to a SIC but with a scope and a grip. it can pierce an elephant which is good. it has 600FPS or something.

  • wtf did u shoot?

  • I wouldnt take that in a combat situation. Id be spending 15 minutes trying to rearrange the magnets, than another hour trying to find ones i knocked off trying to reset it.

  • A slow motion of this would be epic

  • so can i buy 1 of these from you?

  • Ding-.

  • now the question i have is how lethal can this gun be

  • How do you do that????????????

  • weak, clever, but weak

  • weak

  • its a rail gun, not the first in the world, scientists and military contracters have been at the concept for years

  • @callanrockslol This isn't a rail gun. A rail has two rails as a track for a projectile that is conductive and each rail has a seperate charge. When the conductive projectile completes the circuit it creates an electromagnet and causes a force upon the projectile. Yes, the militart has been testing railguns and most recently the US Navy has broken the world record for energy used and the military has been testing since WWII, but nothing hand held because of energy vs size restraints.

  • It's a good idea but it's a single shot system before needing to put another bearing in

  • this reminds me of the aug with a BIG ASS BARREL EXTENTION

  • Technically a railgun, how much damage does it do?

  • @BlueBinProductions it does 25-40 damage

  • @TurkishGamer92 more like around 90 with 100 energy weapons :)

  • @kingfwifwi yeah :-)

  • @TurkishGamer92 Damn that's pretty weak.

  • He is shooting his wifes Wolfgang Puck pan (*notice the cutting board on the trash bag) and doesn't want her to know it was him. Nice cheap plastic watch BTW. I do like the stain job, but don't agree with the trigering mechanism (Gravity fed). What if you want to shoot something at a higher angle?

  • Take out a Deathclaw with that MOFO

  • wow. the story i write uses a similer technology. but instead of a series of kinetic transference modules, the "guns" use a series of small super magnets, which as the negatively charged, bullet shaped round passed each magnet set, the micro-computers in the weapon reverse the magnets polarity. each time this happens, the round gains more power and velocity. magnums use this in conjunction with old style gunpowder shells. shotguns do not use this system at all because it would need at least 5

  • @CatsRuleDogsAreTards barrels, which would be difficult to deal with. hand guns, submachine guns, and rifles are usually very close in shape to early 21st century weapon, meaning they are clip fed, but are aesthetically different on the outside. see the advantages to technology from the 2400's?

very good work by the way.

  • Have fun reloading.

  • Not first Gauss gun..

  • join me and thumb down all the "Dear santa"

  • Apparently marines in the Starcraft universe use what you made, except a lot more bad ass and using carbon 14.

  • i like how ppl say "dear santa" hoping for their comment to get thumbs up

  • Dear santa

  • is that a signal for lunch time ? lol

  • is thar a signal for Lunch time ?? lol

  • dear santa............

  • 0:12 Ding! Breakfast is ready! 0:25 Ding! Lunch is ready! and 0:37 Ding! Dinner is ready!

  • @MsMegajosh you don't have to buy it you can make your own all you need is a magnet like the ones that are in watchs and some magnetic balls and a rail of some sort

  • LAG

  • would you happen to be selling these.......?

  • can you make me 1 of these ill but it from you

  • It would be more powerful if the first spring which hold the magnet in place in the beginning would be thrown forward by the spring action of the holder... Try it...It'll be like 5X faster.

  • it looks like a steyr ayg without a mag

  • @pyrosam7 well it is a bullpup weapon (for those who don't know: bullpup is where the firing mechanisim is behind the trigger) so it probably would look like a steyr aug becuase that's the "classic" bullpup weapon

  • this is a great idea, however there is an issue, you would have to devise a way to not only reload the frontal ball but also how to get the rest back it their proper place. and the USA goverment (or whoever you want to sell it to) probably won't buy it unless it is at least semi automatic. but still very interesting :D

  • @gandalfgrey5 After discharge of a shot a magnet could pass over, lift and move all of the balls back into their place!

  • @kilkun an interesting propostion but it would need to be an electro magnet so that when it went back to the front it wouldn't move everything out of the way

  • it's all fun and games till you shoot your eye out .... lol

  • Ding fries are done.

  • @Retal19 well the magnets, being very strong, could screw around with certain electronic equipment

  • @Mwstmrlnd True, True

@HairEBallzack Suppose that would have to be taken into account, but if you just Airdrop some Gongs, the Enemy wouldn't know where to shoot.

  • doesnt sound too healthy

  • With no rifling, how accurate is it at distance?

  • the fire rate sucks... you should figure out some way to make it fully automatic

  • thumbs up if you thought this was on like off of fallout

  • @toxictoddler It is. Just not as powerful.

  • @toxictoddler Yeah i tough the DAM was 98 like in the game but this make less DAM than a BB gun :(

  • @toxictoddler "thought this was on like off of fallout"

    What?

  • I MADE ONE OF THESE ON A MUCH SMALLER SCALE the magnets have 2 metal balls on the front and the one farthest away is in its ground state and when the other ball hits it knocks it out of that state with a fairly great speed it hits the other one causing a chain reaction and each time it speeds up there for shooting the ball at the end with fairly great force. i am only thirteen and no im not a nerd.

  • It's amazing how Games make these look so Complicated and Difficult, when really they're so simple. All I wonder, is why the Military don't have these in action. I mean, what's not to like about a Silent, Easily Concealed Rifle, which has the potential to punch clean through the Armour of Tanks?

  • @Retal19 silent?...DIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGG!!!!

  • @Retal19 i don't know much about these, but from what i can gather, you'd need a pretty long rifle in order to get one that can punch through a tank's armor. aside from that, the last ball only travels a short distance before being ejected so accuracy has to be terrible. You'd have to extend the barrel even more to achieve better accuracy

  • wow, thats awsome

  • But wheres the plasma and all :o

Fallout has made me crazed :D

  • man please do tell how to make one. its cool but i think the pistol version was better since it shot faster (less delay after trigger pulled)

  • whats the velocity on the rifle?

  • and now build something to fast reload ;D

    its great

  • amazing! how did u do that

  • It's not like the one from fallout 3 :(

  • This is best magnet rifle what I have ever seen!

And some of these comments are really funny. :D

  • now make it look like a real gun and try robbing a bank with it

  • how does it manage under water?!

  • Call me when you make a rail gun.

    (Actually, dont call me.)

  • Dinnnggg? Most People Spit Chewing Tobacco With More Force Than That!

  • now you gotta make it like 800x times more powerful

  • That looks really uncomfortable to hold

  • I made one with electro-magnets, but its not nearly as powerfull

  • Dude...Gauss would kick your fucking ass....

Those things are SO DAMN gay I cant even find a more gay word for it!

Make a railgun and stop wasting our time....

  • sounds fun ah ricochet i think my eye is out

  • What???

  • worlds first real guass rifle..

more like worlds first real terran marine lol

  • Well we gotta start somewhere. I like the fact that you actually made it into a rifle form. It looks nice. Not ready for military application yet, but add some power and we might have a winner xD

  • Seriously... we want to see what you're firing at... for all we know it's just outside the frame of the camera.

  • ya know u could take someones Eye out with that thing

  • Pisol is better. Faster huh?

  • i want to see it shoot something not just see it fire
