Your straw man arguments might have worked on the healthcare bill, but this was pretty straight forward. The Bill was very clear about due process for rape victims overseas. Many of the republican were asked about why they voted nay on such a issue. and many were quoted with saying that they felt that the definition of sex crimes was too broad.

The Amendment doesn't apply to employment contracts outside the US. It recognized that there is no US jurisdiction in Iraq for US civilian issues, and that arbitration is the only recourse. It had nothing to with sex discrimination, it's about women's rights to go to court instead of an company arbitration if they're assaulted or raped.  It was all about the Jamie Leigh Jones case which occurred in Iraq. It involved KBR, subsidary to Haliburton, Dick Cheney's former company (your favorite guy). So instead of calling liberals names, look at the facts first.
