in real life the English were on a muddy hull with wooden steaks in the ground, so the longbow men could shoot further and the French knights had a hard time getting up the muddy hill therefor the English won.

putting archers in front is okay. you can easily pull them back if infantry and cav attack. there are also abatis in the back.

i didnt even have to try in this battle haha it was so easy! i even tried sending my whole army including archers straight in in a line and won pretty easily...but amadohc..the game is called "medieval 2: total war" theres more total war games, like rome total war and empire total war.

I never lost this battle. all u need to do is use good timing, cut them down with archers & keep those 2 units on the back-right ready for the cavalry attack from behind. & of course keep henry alive

I've played this battle alot, and I have found that a new way to try this battle is to send all your men running up the hill behind your forces. There the longbowmen can be given more range. Might sound stupid, but its just a nice little way to try it.

I played this historical battle before... At the beginning, it was discouraging because you are facing 3/1... But during the battle you'll realize that longbowmen have very strong advantage against charging french enemies.. It did took large casualties for the french army making their forces thin in close combat...

@MassiveY28 when anything gets close to archers they run away so they would slam straight into those billmen

and they also use pikes that slide into the ground so any spear militia would run away from the knights straight into those

Thanks! No mods were used, it's just the demo. I filmed this on my old computer, I think it was an older Radeon card.

Why did you activate the flaming arrows??? You know its less acurate in a long range attack I know its a devestating attack, but suggest you use normal arrows at least takes more casualties and more accuratre..

The french are really susceptible to routing in this battle so it would have made sense to use flaming arrows to scare them and sap their morale even further

lol... the only way to win this is by sending in ur archers ro fight melee or the king dies

It's actually really easy to win! You don't do anything until the surprise attack from behind - then you fire at Charles D'Albert with one group of your archers. One way to make your archers fire quicker is to use normal arrows rather than flaming ones.
