Season 1: they got together and Brooke fell for him, but Lucas cheated on her with her bff Peyton.

Season 2: Brooke told Lucas she wanted them to be friends, but Lucas realized he was in love with her and the whole season was a build up for him to tell her.

Season 3: Brooke was skeptical at first, but finally admitted she was in love with him too and they were together almost all of Season 3.

Season 4: They broke up in first episode.

So pretty much Seasons 1-3. HOpe this helps! :)

True for right now. But you know Mark, he could easily turn it around and make it about Brooke. It would make sense for her too. Just like in S2 when everyone thought Lucas said the girl he loved was slipping away. We all thought it was Peyton he was talking about. But it was Brooke. There are too many Brucas fans for Mark to make the Brucas relationship over for good.

I love Brucas, but I can't sit through another breakup with Lucas chasing after a ghost (Peyton) who will only lead him on anyways! me too. i've never seen any romantic chemistry between Lucas and Peyton. To me, they have more of a brother-sister type relationship. Better off as friends. Brucas is the better love story by far. :)
