I thought what Obama outlined about Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan when Bush went to war in Iraq. Obama is saying that there have been far fewer troops in Afghanistan, where they were needed (rather) than Iraq. So he wants to increase the troops and get things over with in a few years (vs. 8 in Iraq).

I abhor war, but like the positive part of Obama's message about making a difference vs. those who attacked our country (UNLIKE Vietnam) and can only hope it's not a huge mistake.Only time will tell.
