Man... am I getting old? I remember this when it first came out! I'm having a hell of a good time with the newest G4 ones (Derpy and Pinkie Pie are my favorites), but I love these first set just as much (I loved Firefly and Twilight)! I think its kind of lame to be getting pissed over either of these series. They're both good. G2 I can't say much over as I don't remember them. The one we should be really getting pissed at is G3 and 3.5!!! Those two are an abomination from hell.

When it comes to FiM style I prefer the way the male ponies look over the female ones. The reason for this is because their muzzle looks more like a pony's muzzle than the female ones which are way to small.

I realize that this show is 20+ plus years old and that it was aimed exclusively at girls 4-7 yrs. old, but you should stop hating on it. Now I've never seen any of the old episodes my self, but judging from this intro, the creators knew who they were aiming for, and tried to stick to it. Lauren Faust and FiM, IMHO, is trying to shoot for a more broad audience, and trying appeal to adults as well as kids. This is why the characters are over top.
