@Zakna More customizable, more options. At least from what I remember of Healbot. But if you like Healbot, absolutely stick with it. As long as you can do your job, it's inconsequential which addon you use.
@shany08 That's okay, it's not for everyone. I myself use Vuhdo :) You might like trying Healbot, which is less customizable but is less complicated. Or you could stick with the default raid frames and use them in combination with Clique for click-casting. Once you find yourself yearning for more options, then try out Grid or Vuhdo.
@shany08 Don't feel bad, when I first downloaded Grid, I didn't have a clue what to do with it, logged out and unchecked it on my addon list. I used healbot when I first got to end-game healing (well, I didn't use any for a while when I was a nub), then as I got more comfortable with addons and playing with my UI I jumped to VuhDo and then Grid. Just takes some time and practice :)
Blizzard has indeed a section under Interface>Raid Profiles where you can configure these raid frames. The tap in the left side of your screen will roll out a menu including the "Hide" button to hide the frames. Great video.
I'm guessing all the people that comment on how much more configurable grid is than vuhdo have either never actually looked at all the options in vuhdo or used it before it had fully developed. I started out using grid but switched to vuhdo once bouquets were added. I find it much more customizable in both how it looks and with what I can do with it. Grid is still in my adding folder and kept up to date in case there is an issue. But atm vuhdo is working on the ptr so it looks like it will be s
thank so much for making these videos. really appreciate them healbot was just not cutting it for me and at 2 am in the morning found this video save me world of pain could you please make some more about the different addon there are like 50 to go with grid maybe a grid top ten addon list.
@Ribmuncher yes but that leaves the small tab on the side, the addons mentioned allow you to get rid of the tab all together, but yes. She could have hidden the frames to the side
@Bobmuffins I find Grid has more settings and customizations... Like you can completely change the colors of the bars, the names, and where things go, hince people's Grids often look different where as Vuhdo... Everyone's looks pretty similar.
Why is it most people use Grid over Vuhdo? What does Grid offer that Vuhdo doesn't, and vice-versa? I see lots of people say Grid's the best, but I can't figure out why I should switch from Vuhdo.
@bobmuffins Vuhdo is very locked in place. You can't really add anything to it and you're stuck with what you have. Grid is extremely mod-friendly and you can add whatever modules you want to it. That and the fact that Grid is a lot older and has had more time to spread around makes it used more. However they're so similar that it's basically just personal preference.
yar i use healbot.. why is grid better than healbot?

In a few days I'm about to do my trial run for a pretty good guild on our server.
I'm a rogue and was wondering if Learn 2 Raid could suggest me some useful mods that would help me to succeed in my role.
atm I'm running
- Deadly boss mods
- Nug combo bar
- Recount

I started to use grid, but changed to Vuhdo as I like the HoT and shield icons it lets you have, where as grid only let me have coloured squares.

I find Grid goes best with RaidFrameBeGone, as it removes the default Blizzard UI raid frames. Another great video from L2R, keep it up!

@bobmuffins it's preference really, and grid a lighter add on so it takes up a bit less memory to run it.
