No, you have a road out across it, but it makes it harder to asault. Remember how castles used to have a moat for the same reason? This would be the same, and if attacked you close the entrance with solid, almost unassailable doors. 'NOW Get inside my factory filthy heretic'.

I'd say have the door as an actual door piece. Then when the enemy player advances to the door they remove it automatically to give it that... ram down the door and eff the place up DAKKA DAKKA style. Just saying xD
