  • thats wrong u need to grease the scalp with some type of oil since black people hair is alot drier then white peoples and if you have a dandruff problem u need to oil the scalp but not too much of the hiar

  • Is there any good cosmetiogist in Orlando fl to help train hair?

  • why you shouldnt grease the scalp PLEASE REPLY!!

  • @americangirl3051 Greasing with petrolatum based products clogs the hair follicles, which makes it harder for those follicles to push growing hair up through the scalp. There are light oils, like coconut oil, which can be used on the scalp with no issues.

  • I have used all your tips. Here in Calif I use Silk Expressions line (mild relax, conditioner, shampoo) and a very nice 7-oil. My hair is half down my back..a few more inches and it will be at the top of my hip. I roll the hair with a small amount of oil and wrap with large hard rollers and dry under under a heat dryer. Curl lasts all week. Sleep on silk pillow case after wrapping hair. U are FANTASTIC! Thanks so much for all your tips! Everyone thinks it's a weave or a wig:)

  • @DoUWanna007 how long did it take? and how long was ur hair before u started using her tips?

  • @babynel13 just about immediately. You can see the difference so fast. Sometimes we really abuse our hair and want it to be flowing and beautiful, but we have to remember to treat the hair gently. I always use a 'hard rubber' comb..never a plastic one. They snag the hair and the ends break off. 'Ace Hard Rubber' combs are great and use the large one. May be pricey but your hair will be gorgeous. Any more ?, just ask:)

  • @DoUWanna007 ..took about 3-4 months. No more junk food, fried stuff. Ate lots of salads, drank gobs of water. Found out sugar doesn't help make the hair grow, seems to slow it down. Watch your sugar intake, you will feel better as well:)

  • @DoUWanna007 i have a qusetion so i have a organic rexlaer in my hair so can i stilll grease my scap

  • what type of relaxer she used in her hair?

  • what type of relaxer she realx her hair with?

  • can you do a video on SHORT relaxed hair? your videos are great but they all seem to apply to long hair. since im a guy, long hair isnt really in the cards :)

  • You should only use protein as needed...too much protein will break your hair...

  • I just love how much pride she takes in the health of her clients' hair.

  • Too much oil to the scalp is what makes your hair have too much build up because of sweat. It clugs your scalp that is a lie o do so. Moisturize weekly not bi-weekly. Your hair needs moisture and conditioning. I am black and have long relaxed hair.

  • This woman is absolutely horrendous.

  • @truewoman247 thats her hair, its abvious

  • Somebody help me!! What does she mean by don't grease the scalp I'm confused :(

  • i dont understand the tip about not greasing the scalp, how else am i gonna keep my scalp from getting dry flaky and itchy?

  • @Chanell1987 use olive oil instead of greasing the scalp... it works amazingly.

  • @Chanell1987 use oil like coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil etc.

  • @dancehAll914 can these oils be store bought or is it actual olive oil you buy in a bottle? i currently use organic root stimulator oil moistruizing hair lotion..

  • @abnormaljovan it real oil u buy in a bottle. organic root stimulator is a good hair line i use there relaxer in the kit :)

  • Every 8 weeks seems like quite a bit! Her hair is very pretty but relaxing so often is going to hurt in the long run.

  • danqq she qott Lonqq hair .

  • I always afraid od that flat iron,I used it once and my hair became very dry and start breaking,is it good for the hair??

  • i love watching your videos, your so professional

  • I have to come every 5 - 6 weeks .. Lucky her . Lol

  • gorgeousssssssssssssss hair^^

  • all your costumers look like they have healthy natural hair its just i wish ur videos have more details and longer but they all look very natural and healthy u always do such a good job with ur costumers :D

  • she looks like she has pretty healthy hair:D

  • You doing really good professional job

  • why should you not grease the scalp won't it get dry and break your hair out?

  • omg i love you liz

  • how do you dye and relaxed at the same time plz

  • @missscifi1 you cant dye and relaxed do 1 for a week and wait 1 or 2 week

  • the words on the screen are kind of annoying. Thanks for the BEauty tip though

  • Good information, and lovely hair. I never use grease on my scalp... occasionally, I use a little organic jojoba oil.

  • ok i got a question u see how her ends are so straight mine is poffy then it comes 2 the straight parts do i cut thos i want it straight

  • What product can you use for protein and moisture mask?

  • @sweetmeema for protein you can use ahogee that thing is da bomb!

  • i rarley see women with relaxed hair this healthy

  • do you a sister salon in Houston Texas

  • her hair is so pretty!!!! <3

  • There is so much more to maintaining relaxed hair.

  • Why not grease the scalp.... what u want it to be dry?? lol

  • @SingingQueenify Well most people don't anymore- it clogs your pores and can actually prevent the scalp from breathing properly preventing maxium hair growth.

  • @SingingQueenify I stopped greasing my hair about a year ago and my hair has never grown healthier. I just use moisturizer instead....grease just made my hair stiff and nasty feeling.

  • @mishiej6 what's grease? I use olive oil spray and moisture. Is that better?

  • I relax every 12-24 weeks depending on special events lol by rollersetting and blowing out the roots. I've tried roller setting natural but its too time consuming :(. After about 2 months if I air dry you cant even tell I relax due to my hair kind of reverting but its still easier to come than my normal texture I dont experience breakage because I stick to aphogee 2 step every 6 weeks religiously! I prepoo with palm oil religious aswell hope this helps people stretch!

  • @jjg35 aphogee religously too!! :) my hair retains length because of it

  • I wish you were in New York or even New Jersey!

  • Nice video...the clients hair looks nice and healthy. Well done. God Bless!!!!!!!!

  • you souldnt grease the scalp ? i thought you had to do that

  • @consuella01 Well most people don't anymore- it clogs your pores and can actually prevent the scalp from breathing properly preventing maxium hair growth.

  • Liz Muller is stingy with her information.

  • grease has mineral oil in it which clogs ur pores and will slow down ur hair growth use oil instead ..

  • i lighty grease my scalp because my hair needs it.

  • i completely agree about the not greasing the scalp thing. While my hair did grow wonderfully when i used coconut oil grease on my scalp and ends...boy when i combed it everyday you would see all the dust that stuck to the hair come out in the comb. I've found that if i use a little bit of oil after using a protein treatment, not only does my hair air dry better, but it also feels really soft and i don't get itchy scalp.

  • so use cocnut oil or what? what should i use

  • you can use the coconut oil, but don't use too much and don't 'grease' your scalp with it. Use it for deep conditioning or just a tiny bit heated in the palms of your hands for the ends of your hair. There are also tons of other oils that are great for your hair but choose the lighter ones.

  • thanks

  • I heard you suggest not putting anything on the scalp. I've tried doing that but found that after 4 days I am walking around scratching my scalp because it is so dry. What do you recommend for it? I am a working wife and mom with no time to wash every time my scalp gets dry.

  • well to me just put some oil sheen on it or late at night just wash it or find time to do it

  • Just spraying sheen on my scalp does not keep it from being itchy. I can only imagine how greasy my hair would be after spraying it with sheen every time it gets itchy.

  • DON'T SPRAY THAT MUCH

  • Honey dont put no Oil Sheen on your scalp itf you add protein to your hair I promise you the only time you would be scratching your scalp is when it dirty...If you get the products she advise or any product that put protein back into your hair you wont need to grease your scalp I use to think my hair eat grease you kno that say but using the product she advise I havent put grease in my hair in over a year and the only time it bothers me and looks dry is when its dirty

  • what do u use on your hair

  • Try getting conditioning treatments on a regular basis that helps alot from getting dandruff back down to dry itchy scalp and if you have a severe problem of dry itchy scalp then ur stylist can offer u 2 purchase a product dat would relieve dat problem. I am a cosmetologist

  • grease shouldnt hinder the growth of your hair, but oil is a great alternative.

  • i agree i keep hearin different things like whats really good for your hair?? makes me mad

  • everyone hair is different.

  • what kind of straightner do you have ?

  • Thank you very much for the response,

what protein masks are good and which moisture ?

    xx

  • I thought the same thing and paused it on the scalp greasing ...

    is that not recommended ?

  • Greasing the scalp clogs the pores. Your hair will grow anyway from the root, what you should focus on is the ends. They are the weakest part of your hair and should be oiled a lot. I learned this from experience. I've always had long hair, but it always broke off, since taking advice from others and my hairstylist, my hair has been growing a lot faster and is much longer.

  • Just curious about the not greasing the scalp thing. Because my scalp actually drinks ap grease and seems to need it here and there. I don't use anything with synthetic products in it, just a grease made of natural butters and oils. Let me know your opinions on this

  • my hair is the same exact thing and my scalp is dry and needs to be greased also

  • grease only cloggs hair focciles and make it stank and more sweaty...why do they sell it to make money....you should try drinking more water and taking hair vitamins supplements

  • really?

  • what product(s) do you suggets for fine relaxed hair?

  • I love your videos and all of your clients look like they have healthy hair. I just wish the videos were a little bit longer with more details.

  • her hair is pretty :D

  • I'm letting my hair grow out. Right now it's in layers that i don't like and want to wear cornrows til it grow out some to a point where i don't mind wearing my own hair down. But is wearing cornrows more damaging to my hair?

  • only if they are done very tightly

  • no i wore cornrows for 1 whole year and my hair grew ALOT now i have it permed and it is nice and long

  • why shouldn't you grease the scalp?

  • it clogs the pores of the scalp. Plus, grease or anything with oil in it seals out moisture. You can still use oils and grease but I would only use it on the ends of the hair after you've moisturized it to seal in the mositure.

  • Can you give me some advice on how to care for my relaxed hair when i workout five days a week and i sweat heavy during cardio.

  • I would say you could co wash your hair instead of using shampoo that stips the hair of natural oil.

  • It looks like the lady looks like she may be mixed with some indian but that really does not matter. My mom is cuban/indian and my dad is African American so I have thick curly hair and lots of it but I take care of my hair as an African American because I need the mositure just like anyone else.

  • I think you are a little confused and taken things out of content...that is why it is important to read to comprehend...you started the conversatin by asking "so you are saying you have to be mix to have curly hair..that is so far from truth" than you talked about how black people don't wnat to be black they claim to be mixed..sorry man you started. it never came out that I said i was mixed oh don't worry I don't care about the last word you can have it bc I don't need it.

  • The relaxers that she seems to be using on her clients is Mizani...which is a wonderful hair product. after switching my previous relaxing product to Mizani..i have seemed to have less breakage, and my hair seems more healthier. Most salons aren't allowed to sell you Mizani relaxers bc you have to be licensed, but some hair (stores) do. She also uses Moroccan oil to moisturize the hair and style it-- you can buy this product online as well.

  • I use coconut oil on my scalp when it gets dry. I hate it when stylists try to relax my hair all the time.

  • I use 100% pure virgin coconut oil (not liquid). I do it once after I shampoo it and that's it. Coconut oil is good for dry scalp and you only need a little.

  • why cant you grease the scalp?

  • it clogs the pores of the scalp and causes damage and won't allow the hair to grow

  • so what should you use instead

  • it only clogs pores if the stuff has petroleum or mineral oil

  • thank you ,you are right

  • Lol. People get played so badly. I've seen some products that say "Pure mineral oil" or "100% Lanonlin" lol. And people go "Hmm, pure" and buy it lol. That's unfortunate. But yes petroleum and Mineral oil products suck. I don't even like vaseline on my lips!
