I have a question cause i'm ignorant of the sport. What happens to those boards that are just getting thrown about by the wave? No leash right? :/ someone explain :(
@Wonton118 probably picked up by the jet ski. i'm a surfer, but tow-in big waves are a completely different story than short board regular surfing. it's like comparing a regular skateboard vs a longboard skateboard. 2 very different sides of (basically) the same coin.
@Wonton118 Those two boards you see getting sucked over at 0:16 are actually connected to two people, who then Both get sucked "over the falls" with their boards... The leases in big wave surfing are alot longer than most "normal" size waves 6-7 feet.
