in the time line you have three options,

Video: Shows the clips

Audio/Music: That what you need! Just import the music file you want and drag and drop onto that part, then under video it should say transitions and audio (if you don't see them click the plus next to video) and right click audio and click mute so the videos audio doesn't over lap with the song, and do the same (mute) for all the different' clips you use.
