I have what a chance - just in this time early Sunday about 07:13 o'clock the German Chrysalis Records LP pressing from "Minstrel in the gallery" on my meanwhile 30 year-old Hitachi Direct drive turntable HT-355 run. For me one of the best albums of the rock history generally. One can call it virtually something so like pioneering work of the today's Middle Ages rock. "Requiem" is a miraculous quiet conclusion of the A side. Affectionately yours from Germany.
Surely one of the most beautiful songs ever done. Not the happiest period of my life (way back when) when I first heard it. It was exactly what I needed at the time. Sometimes a sad song can help you get through sad times.
So grateful that this band found its mission and acted on it - for my sake. And that it keeps rediscovering its mission and reinterpreting itself. No matter what I say about Ian or Jethro Tull, my words are impoverished and ridiculous next to their work. Long ago they rescued me from this world of spiritual poverty.

Aqualung, I can spend hours and hours just roaming among the vast wealth of Tull songs you have uploaded! Great thanks to you!

To think some bastard critics hammered Minstrel in the Gallery. No class.

With this one, old Anderson touched upon the deepest ink well with his mortal pen and captured that beauty sadness in us all. Brilliant stroke Ian!

Beautiful and sad song. They were just as good doing soft stuff as they were playing Aqualung or Minstrel in the Gallery
