@omarrianowilson9 I think if you were in their shoes, and you thought he was pulling out a gun or he was pulling out a gun, you wouln't go for your pepper spray which doesn't take most people to the ground before they can get shots off, an you wouldn't go for your taser(if you had one), because if you miss, the reload time is too great. If someone doesn't listen to an officer when they tell you to stop moving your hand near where most people carry their guns, then you deserve to be shot, simple.

Poor judgement from the police officer here. That person was no trainee, he was just a citizen ride-a-long. Officer should have had the kid stay in the car the whole patrol shift. No reason for a person with a tee shirt, jeans, a flashlight and absolutely no body armor or tactical weapons to be walking around near suspects and conducting police business. The kid got antsy, and as a result a man was shot because of it. Police officer got caught off guard, and it ended badly.
I think that ride along individual shouldve kept his mouth shut and just observed. No badge and i won't even pay you the time of day. Btw you cop haters who automatically are gonna think this was just a malicious abuse of power and that the cop must die, go do something productive with your life and pleaasseee dont have kids.

That trainee should have been fired for his stupidity. He walked behing the suspect at almost the exact moment of the shooting. He could have easily been hit in the crossfire. IMO this shooting was the trainee's fault.
