  • should have burnt it on solstice, waaayyy too pagan for new years. ironic that they put their resolutions in there.

  • This is insanity. Waste of a fine crafting, I'd say. Just my opinion.

  • Austin is dead.

Idiot bed-wetting firebugs acting worse than Aggies.

The very same who shat Barton Springs.

  • i was there too!

    it was sweet!

    yeah, i remember the tornadoes

and the people lit it on fire with gas tanks near it and had to move them quickly

  • really neat. I was there and it was very impressive.

  • Too bad you guys didn't catch any of the awesome smoke tornadoes =P

  • Except that the BM05 Clock Tower was no where near this size and a completely different design and this one was downtown in the capitol of Texas and had, reportedly, 90,000 people watching. You can't claim it's a "rip off" when the only similarity is that they are both Clock Towers.

  • The designs are close (flying buttresses are not standard design element in clock towers). The concept is pretty much the same. The canned clock tower bell sound in the 08 Austin clock tower is reminiscent of the of the bells running in the 05 BM clock tower. Also The amount of people watching and size of the Austin clock tower are irrelevant to your argument.

  • This was must first time I went and it was spectacular!
