i use to be a nail biter but then i got braces so when ever i got to my habbit of biting my nails it either felt weird or it hurt my teeth so i stopped i had braces for 2 year and i dont bite my nails.. unless its an emergency nail situation..

Yeah I had that problem also, but you just have to use nail harder or any regular nail polish with a topcoat on in so it won't chip away.

Make sure you don't remove your nail polish for a few weeks, you can add new coats to protect your nails.

And after a few weeks remove the polish and add a topcoat on your natural nails so it won't break off.

And voila, long nails. :) but you have to be patient for this. ;)

@xciircuitx i was a nail biter to but then one day i took a look at my nails and saw how disgusting they were and they were so short they would sometimes bleed so i just decided to stop and i dont know how i did it but it worked then i went to the pharmacy and bought some Sally Hansen nail frowth and it really works my nails were 30% longer in just 5 days ! just like the packet said so i hooe it all works out for you from a fellow has been nail biter :)

oval or round nails are "normal", it's just how people file them. if stoped filing, the nails grow out the edges, so just cut and file straight across for square nails. oval/round nails are not weird, it's easier to grow longer like this, because some people's edges brake easily. i could never grow long and square, but amazinly long while oval, which is pretty too.

@AnimeSngGirl Just use nailoil, put it onto your nails and cuticles and your nail will get moisturized. If your nails starts chipping it means your nail is dehydrated.

Yeah! It works i've tried it (: I put it in my Base Coat but the garlic kind of absorbs the base coat so you can just rub plain garlic on your nails.

OMG. What a travesty that she decided to clip her nails. And what renowned authority declared that you HAVE to file it from the top? Filing also weakens the nail because of the constant abrasive action and encourages splitting of the nail.

if you file it in ONE direction and gently and properly, your nails should NOT split, or break

if they do, then you're doing it wrong

@cutforcuties Nail tech here for 18 years and YES you can clip your natural nails and it does not cause splitting cracking or peeling. What school did you attend? NEVER use a coarse file on natural nails, I don't care what direction you go in. Your layering the nails doing that. The file should be a diamond or glass file or a grit of about 240. Coarse files are for acrylic refinement.

TIP: if your nails are short and are already round, let them grow out a bit till you can cut them straight across. my pointing finger and thumb are really round so i kept cutting them straight across and now they grow that way! hope this helps!

@skilledkrazii my sister has nails like these and she says that it can take time to get them the shape they are. If you have long nails already it is a good idea to use a file to shape them. It is easy and once you have done it a few times. to make your nails look like this you need to have them strong, long, and healthy. use a file to not only shape the front of them but also the sides. shaping the sides of the nail is the key. Im sorry i couldnt explain to too well

Just keep them clean, & continue to let them grow out.

They should heal over time.

so try following some of those tips.

People have no right to treat you badly, so don't take it too hard.

Once their healthy enough, you can paint them, & stuff ;)

actually as just an add on to your video you're supposed to use a low grit buffing block after you've filed your nalls because filing leaves open layers of nail and your nail will tend to chip and peel buffing with the low grit one helps seal the edges. Anyway I have a question do you know ow to do them square but kind of rounded?
