Wow, back when Nick at Nite was still good. The only shows I watch on it now is the nanny and family matters. Their not as classic but they are still pretty good shows.
Latka's flash-card conversation seems to be derived from Bob Dylan's first video, "Subterranean Homesick Blues"....which is a small reason why Taxi was one of the greatest sit-com's of all time.
The Mid 70's to the late 80's were the golden age of comedy - they were smart, there was variety and they had unforgettable characters. Rev. Jim, Latka Gravis; Venus Flytrap; Les Nessman; Herb Tarleck - there are really only a couple of Comedies on today that can even make me laugh on a regular basis - Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory - sigh.
I agree. I would love to see all the episodes again. Maybe WKRP would be another good one to bring back. Maybe it's out though. Guess I'll have to look. Does anyone remember Quark? It was about an Intergalactic garbage scow. It wasn't the best but it had it's moments and the twins were hot.
im with tony, id like to smack kaufman upside the head

people used to allow their hair to grow out horizontally above their ears. Not so today. I am inspired by these neglectful haircuts.

I like this episode because you get a rare glimpse of the "good Louie" which made for some good shows.

Those studio knuckleheads need to hurry up & release Seasons 4 & 5. It's a total travesty that the best show ever is not completely available.
