No character in SSFIV AE sucks if you know how to play that particular character and know your opponents character as well. I agree some characters are stronger than others but it's all about skills.

Tiers are based on on the principle that both players are the same skill and experience, which in turn it's based on highly skilled tournament players who know more about the ins and outs of the game than the average Joe. So, winning comes down to the player not always the characters... sometimes characters are clearly overpowered & have greater comeback potential. For a casual, defeating a turtling Guile may be harder than playing a decent Evil Ryu.

@larsattack Oni has incredibly low stamina, Seth, E.Ryu, and Akuma sit with him. Anyone with a decent ultra would do that much damage to him under those circumstances.

@CeKoneR15 T Oni is low-mid tier is becuz he cant FADC on block, wich cripples his defence/wake-up. Ofcourse he has u1 as anti cross-up but that doesnt mean he's out of trouble, it means the opponent has to stay in front of him. Also, his command-dash-cross-up-thingy is slow so it requires a knockdown to safely set-up, cuz otherwise you're opponent can just mash out of it. He has some real problem with characters that deny fireballs and close the distance quick (like Fei+Ibuki+Twins).
