  • THERE ARE THREE GROUPS!!!! THERE IS THE MEAT GROUP, THE WORKING GROUP, AND THE PETS GROUP!!! HORSES ARE IN THE PETS/WORKING GROUP!!! WITHOUT HORSES THE THINGS WE HAVE DONE IN AMERICA THE PROCES WOULD BE SLOWED IN IT WEREN'T FOR THESES BEAUTIFUL CREATURES!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!! I HATE ALLLLL THE HORSE SLAUGHTERERS!!!

  • @Sapphire14701 Well maybe for you the horse is in the pets group. But do you realize how many horses are out there in the working group? You want to treat the horse as a 1,300 ibs dog that's fine. But that's not it's truthful place.

  • I meant cats

  • I do not want to be hated for what I am going to say, but dogs and acts are your friends, and horses are just some animals.... They're like cows or pigs for example.

  • @davidsedloev YOur not to be hated, you just have not been allowed or have had the opportunity to understand how wrong that statement is. Our horses are bonded closer to us then any dog will ever bond to a person. You have to allow yourself to be trusted first and foremost which 95% of horse owners do nto from their fear of such a large creature. Actually pigs are very very adaptable as what we call pets as well. Horses are just my choice.

  • @rancherjongus They should have worked to make slaughter shipping methods and slaughter house conditions safer and more humane rather than totally ending it. They only made the equine industry worse for both horses and owners. I'm sure you can agree with that.

  • @Equestrian08 Agreed. And fixing that problem would have been easier to achieve than banning slaughter all together right? Canada has strict transportation Laws of horses. And it's done humanely. So I fail to see what the problem is.

  • @rancherjongus Thats exactly what I said. But you do realise how many "backyard" breeders there are right? If you have quality horses, and know what you are doing with breeding and training, then yeah have at it. I'm just saying that people shouldn't breed unless they know what their doing. They shouldn't breed their precious mare just because they can, or breed mass quantity horses just because they think they'll get rich. Now that horse slaughter is ended theres an overpopulation.

  • @Equestrian08 well to be honest they need to start up slaughter in the states again. If You were going to get back yard breeders under control. Wouldn't it have happened by now?It hasn't yet the problem has only gotten worse. And that's because You banned slaughter in the states in the first place! You've bred the next generation of problems. More horses were finding homes and less horses were being abused. If that ain't a failed policy I don't know what is.

  • I just wish that people would stop breeding without purpose. If more people would adopt instead of breeding just because they think they will make a few dollars or just because they want a cute little foal, and adopt instead, the equine economy would not be destroyed. Can we start pushing to make out of control breeding illegal now?

  • @Equestrian08 the Majority of horses are bred with very specific purposes. And most adopted horses do not fit a need. It'd be like adopting a pony when you needed a racehorse. I have AQHA horses. and there bred to the best stock that I can afford. But that sad truth is not every AQHA mare bred gives you a good saddle horse. But my horses are 10 times better than any unwanted hag I'm gonna pick up at a auction yard.

  • @rancherjongus I have a Grand prix eventer I bought for $150.00 at auction and trained. I bought a 93% foundation golden dun buckskin mare with royal breeding a money winning cutter for $175.00 a month ago 12 years old, papers are worthless training is the $, a $10.00 auction nag will and does train just as well as some horse you would pay $5k for with papers. A friend picks up auction nags and trains them into $50k+ horses even today, 85% of horses at auction are papered not back yarders

  • Very nice :D i wish that Horse slaughter STOPES!!!

  • Wow! Way to be the change you want to see in the world!!!! That is awesome!
