I am studying a project a centrifuge inductively, which I will use the induction eletromagnética for the fusion of metal.... You could help me on induction Heating Schematic eletric?
hi, great work u got , is it possible to have schematics to this? and how much did it cost to make . i would like to show it to my students. they asked me about it... thx
Ok that's just scary, how much detail you know about the effects of people in a induction furnace. I hoping you don't know this from personal experience.
You could try removing all the water and then heating the dry remains. However, the high organic compound composition would mean that most of the remaining mass would decompose to gases. The resulting ash could then be melted, this would not be a person really; It would be melting inorganic compounds derived from a persons remains...
YOU CAN'T MELT PEOPLE! I'm sorry to disapoint you but even with all the resources and effort it will still be impossible to melt a person. You can burn but not melt.
Ok, lets say you could transfer heat using eddy currents into flesh. Then what, the temp would increase to 100 degrees and the water would boil until the flesh was dry. It would no longer be conductive and the heating would stop. STILL NO MELTING! I'm sorry, I want to see people melting as much as the next guy but its not possible at atmospheric pressure using heat..... hmmmm.. Maybe if you increased the pressure to prevent the water boiling it would be possible, I'll think about it....
yes- there are loads! The ir2111 will do for low powers. You can also use a chip like the sg3525 (lots of chips in this family) to generate the waveforms- you will then need to use either an ir2110 or some gate drive transformers to do the level conversion for the half bridge. If i were you i would stick to the 2184 (newark/farnell, digikey etc should stock it) since it is really simple and cheap.
the waveform of the switches and inverter output smoothed and had no damping ocsilation and system worked at resonant,is it because that i used ferit tansformer for h-bridg gate drive instead of ir2184?because the ferrit gate drive can not generating dead time
i would need to see a schematic. It might be dead time problem but this usually makes the bridge output look messy and leads to overheating of devices. If you are using a H bridge (no half bridge) then the failure is probably because the control electronics latched up and tried to put DC accoss the output network.
I tried to making an induction heater that works on 1KW and 50khz,I used 2 irfp 450 mosfet. heater worked properly after a few secends and mosfets did not warmed, but instantly the mosfets detonated and failed the opration, whats the problem?
Awesome!! I have a novice question. How much power does it take to run? Is it possible to determine the power usage over a period of time? Like 1Kw per hour? When I see a heater that shows the power, like 600w, is that what is taken from the grid?
listen KimLADHA dUDE I LIVE IN COMMERCE gA USA, I will pay YOU $400 to build me a system like this, let me know what you think dude, please i need one asap
The heater does produce some noise on the mains if i plug it straight into a socket. As for the implications of the magnetic field on human tissue- see some medical papers. The fields are less intense to those used in a MMR scan. If you put your finger in the field you can't feel anything!
The only way it would induce current into the body is if you had a pacemaker or metal rods and screws in your body. But inducing current in the body is usually a problem with much larger furnaces.
Copper is hard to melt using an induction heater because it has a high melting point and is really conductive. This induction heater will melt copper no problem. Copper is easier to melt than steel.
I feel it is hard to melt copper because the coil of the heater is in copper. Would it mean the copper coil will melt also at the same time if the copper object is melted?
The heater is water cooled. If it was not then the coil would melt regardless what was placed inside it. So long as the water flows in it, the copper pipe coil will not melt.
this is an awesome idea i live in the city and i want to melt and cast materials but as you imagine when you live in an apartment you cant have a foundry in the living room. but with this you could provided you took the necessary precautions.
Very very nice! Did you use an LCLR circuit or a current transformer to bring the power into the tank circuit?
What's your effective work coil voltage when steel has room temperature and when it's near melting?

I am new to induction heating but would like to build one just like yours.
Where do I get the schematic diagram from to build one?

Man, I've always wanted to make one of these. How much does it cost to make one?
And how high a temperature can it produce in a piece of metal?
AlexRGravlin 2 years ago
the temperature is going to be determined by the power put into the inductor, the presence of air, and the metal being heated.
in other words, get things right and you'll turn it into gas.
EPhantom125 2 years ago
Wow, is evaporation of metal actually realistically achievable with one of these homemade rigs? Not that I'd have any reason to do it...
How much would it cost to build one that can melt aluminum and copper?

Very nice. I'd love to see a schematic. The audio is hard to hear.

These are awesome. I see people putting steel rods into the coil and heating them to forge temp in seconds.
What happens if you're holding the metal, and the metal touches this coil? Electrocution?
What happens if you use DC like from a battery instead of AC? Anything? Just a little heat? Is it just resistance then?
One guy's selling this as a forge but wants 4000 for it, I'm hoping you can make a small one for a little less?
Gotta know, that's really cool regardless!

And skin (which is like plastic) melts. Water with impurities (such as all the chemicals in your body), would be VERY conductive. So it would work.

the schematic is on the 4hv forum - read the other comments for more details. ir2184 has an intergral 500ns deadtime generator.

why you use a transformer in power supply unit?is it necessary?

no- its a safety isolation transformer. Now the project is finnished i just plug it straight into the mains.
