Because Oddworld was a thinking man's game. Unfortunately, in order to make gaming more profitable, developers have appealed to the mainstream "American Idiot" who (an overwhelming amount of the time) can only be entertained by lowbrau, no plot, exploshion-fest, shooters that don't change the way the player thinks or feels at the end of the day.
@stelisklados Abe is overrated. A new game with him would be boring. Everyone hates munchs oddysey. I don't know, never played it, but i know, that strangers wrath was one of the last and greatest pearls for xbox
@Bannertraeger The Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus had incredibly beautifull graphics for it's time. I don't know about Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath.
I wasn't too fond of the 3D games though. but Munch's Oddysee is still a fairly decent game IMO.
What the company is doing now is releasing HD remakes of their past games, including Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus.
Those two games will be 3D it is just that the camra will be on the side.

Maybe you should read carefully before you gonna ,make such accusations. I never said its bad on my own. If I brought across my opinion on the game then your statement would be false. A true gamer would able to state his own opinion from actually playing the game and not just abstract an opinion from others.
