I don't understand what's so funny about a guy saying "when the fuck did he get ice cream?" You have our sympathies, though, if that helps at all.

What's funny about it is that it isn't scripted, the actor adlibbed the whole thing, and the adlib is made especially funny by the fact that even though Knoxville is losing his shit when he says it, they still kept what is a stroke of inventive genius in the movie.
