Michael Bisping hit Chael Sonnen harder than ever been hit before

Unfortunately, I missed this fight but good on him for giving props. I always appreciate when fighters show grace and are magnanimous outside of the ring. There are a lot who just come off as absolute cocks whenever they open their mouths. (I'm looking at you, Diaz bros...)

I think Sonnen won this fight. I also felt before the fight that Bisping didn't even belong in the same cage as Sonnen and I was quickly proved wrong. This fight actually upped Bisping's stock in my eyes.

After the words Sonnen said I do respect him I already did like him but this doesn't make me as much pissed off as I was, I think a 5round fight with Sonnen would of been something I believe Bisping maybe could of lost to Sonnen if he allowed Sonnen to do what he did in the third round I don't know if the momentum was picking up for Sonnen there but it did look like it, end of the day the people saying the negative about Bisping haven't got much to say especially when Chael said what he said.

Im English and im a fan of both these guys, but i think the fight should have been a draw. Michael edged the first 2 but sonnen won the third. 2 edged rounds vs a won round = draw. But i do think if it was a 5 rounder michael would have stopped chael. Both great fighters and great characters

@lonelystoner016 Take downs matter when your opponent isn't damaging you with deadly strikes so I do agree with what you're saying, that's the only excuse I really see the Bisping haters bring up but lets be honest we can't even call them Sonnen fans.

I've rewatched the fight a few times now and can't see exactly which punch hurt him that bad, Sonnens brave face didn't give anything away. Anyone care to tell me what time it happened?

@mr2nut123 In a fight where not much happened and not much damage was inflicted to either fighter - Bisping hit Chael hard 21 sec in to the fight with hard looping overhand left & a similar punch with 46 sec before the end of the 1st round. Bisping also hit Chael hard at 1:54 of the 2nd round and also with a smashing left hook 3 mins 5 secs into the 2nd round. Wrestlers should be penalised 4 useless takedowns & graplling to avoid stand up, Bisping wanted fight, Chael wanted to cuddle.

@paypaldie It's MMA not boxing dumbass. Rashad beat Rampage the same exact way, by out wrestling him. Bisping may have hit him hard, he also repeatedly for 3 rounds used the cage to get up, get position, and was holding Chael's shorts to get position. Big John was constantly warning him. In the stand up when they threw they exchanged. Bisping didn't dominate, Chael didn't dominate. It was like the end of Rocky 3 he and Apollo throw the punches at the end hitting simultaneously.

@BigE2407 It's MMA not wrestling DUMBASS, Chael didn't outwrestle Bisping,Mike Bisping embarrassed Chael and exposed his wrestling as being highly overrated. And wrestling only counts if you use it to better your position for some ground and pound or a submission, Chael used his wrestling to avoid a fight, all fighters know this. Chael didn't use his wrestling to win, he used it to avoid a loss, maybe you take up fighting to increase your knowledge base, then you might understand a bit more.
