We need to make a video of her room as it is today. I don't know why, but after we took her to Disneyland she wanted all the princesses OUT of her room. Maybe those princesses at the park did not to live up to her expectations? IDK. She still loves pink!

@makeup707 When I was a kid my parents made me a jungle room - green with lots of tigers. And I loved it and didn't want it changed, until I was a teenager. But our daughter is very creative and one way she expresses her creativity is by changing her room around. My sister is an interior designer and was the same way as a child. So for us, "a bedroom she would not grow out of" was not possible. She is always changing something in there.

@SweetLittleWallaby Thank you for your sweet comment. We thought it was perfect too, but she started changing it as soon as we were done decorating. In 2 and 1/2 years it's gone from princesses, to Barbie, and now to pets (mainly cats) and her own artwork. It's still very pink though. :)

Very sweet of you, but she has adapted to her hearing-aids very well. At first she was embarrassed and wanted to hide them, but she likes them now. Just recently she went to a friend's princess party - she wore her hair up and put pretty heart stickers on her hearing-aids. I could tell she felt beautiful and not at all ashamed of her ears. <3

I am gonna be remolding my room since I am old enough. My mom is gonna paint 3 of walls tan *since one wall is dark green* I have a camo bed. I am gonna hang my dad's army uniform. I already have a american flag I made. *post and markers* I am gonna have G-I joes everywere. Now all I need is some stuff so I can hang my toy guns on the wall.

@puppymew Sounds awesome - like something my son would have liked. He always liked WWII history and joined the army when he got old enough. As a teenager he had a black, white and red room with Spawn & Alien figurines (from Todd McFarlane). When he got to be an older teenager he started collecting fancy knives and swords. I guess pretty much the opposite of his sister's princess room.

People act like it costs too much, but my daughter got almost everything as gifts. All we bought was the paint, window treatments and bedding. It just takes a little effort. And the joy makes it so worth it! Have fun decorating!

Whats wrong with spoiling your kid a little? As long as you use an equal ammount of disipline. Which sounds like the kid is turning out well. If you have the money to do what you want for your children, you should. Because when they are all adults they will have to work for their stuff. Its a nice thing to do. She deserves it.

I have known some spoiled kids. We they get presents they are not excited about it. In fact, they often complain because you didn't get just the right thing. I don't think a child who gets this excited can possibly count as spoiled...well not spoiled rotten anyway.

This room is a haven in a very cruel world. She knows that and appreciates it. We all should have a place like this. :-)

People have commented that our child is somehow sheltered and deceived by living in this room. Well, I suppose this would be a problem if we kept her locked in this room, but we don’t. She is very well educated for a child of six years. This year she learned about the ancient worlds of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, China and the Germanic Barbarians. She has seen poverty – some of our near relatives are very poor...

@suriconnor Mein Freund ging einkaufen in Deutschland. So viele schöne Dinge: Goebel Hummel-Figuren, Spode Porzellan, Waterford Crystal, Wedgwood Keramik, Steinzeug polnischen Boleslawiec. Ich liebe diese Dinger. Ich hätte nie gedacht, ich würde ein helles rosa Zimmer in meinem Haus haben, aber mein Mädchen pink macht glücklich. Sie will unser Haus rosa zu malen.

When we made this video we did not know our little girl has hearing problems. I look at this video of her "singing like a princess" and wonder why it took us so long to catch on. She has hearing aids now, and sings much better. :)

You`ve earned it . Just look at her face light up like fireworks in the sky on the Night of the 4th of July. Ever since I was 3 years old, Mickey has been coming on TV calling my heart and soul back to the Magic Kingdom on occasion.

... And Look at Your Little Girl, she just .... Lights up like lights on a

Thank you! It was my mother's when she was a little girl. The bed is part of the set too. We also have the vanity and chest of drawers that we plan to add as she gets older. So glad we finally got a little girl in the family so we could use the furniture again. :)
