HI Mark, can't get my head around the open trumpet business, they look and sound great, but, do you not have a problem with dust getting in if more air is getting in? Wouldn't mind mine sounding a bit meatier/deeper under the bonnet, not that I want it lairy.
I only run the open trumpets on track (or at a show) at all other times I have a bespoke ITG filter set-up (just to be safe and keep the rubbish out of the engine for everyday use), this still has the same noise but doesn't look as nice as the chrome trumpets. ;)
Many thanks, that was its first outing on a track. Lightly modified engine with Dell'Orto 35's, ITG Filter system, rolling road tuned with ballanced jets and hotter plugs and finally a sports exhaust system. Need to change the shocks and tyres next (a little too much grip, bottoming out on bumps) and have just altered the brake bias.
At 0.30 just turning the fan up, warm day and getting hot in the pits! ;)
The exhaust is pretty standard, the only modification is a CSC Sports Rear Box from Omicron, also alot of the noise is induction from a pair of Dell'Orto DHLB 35's with only open trumpets (standard filter removed).
i don,t like the music the only music must be the engine sound , soon i buy also a fulvia (normal 1.3 s)
