You may remember me Edwin, but we started together when it was EQ before EQOA. I am Iarendil Guardian/Paladin and i miss the days when I ran with Legacy of Honor. Although I joined different raid guilds and with them took down bigger mobs I never felt the sense of family and friendship I did in LoH maybe it was because I was still leveling up or maybe just the people, but of all the guilds I joined while playing I have the fondest memories of LoH. No Everquest Online Adventures has not been shut down, we are still going, seven years!

As for the content and fan managed servers, that's problematic for legal reasons as well as practical reasons. Without getting into it too much A) SOE would have to sell the rights, even if no profit was turnedover from the operation of running of player made servers B) The content is NOT all on the disc.

C) We have far too few persons who can code to help migrate the servers if need be

I was there from day one, I waf on FH had a sk named Ripperdax that never did make it to 60 I guess I sucked at tanking. My 60 sorc named Spoo has been calling me to play for 4 yrs now... Fothgar, that wasn't the whole point. They should have never came out with those expansions to early, it was way to early to come with those. When the game was starting to die and people were leaving is when they should have brought those out.

a new server isn't going to bring it all back, it would have to be all the servers, this game needs to be completely revamped for this time. EQ3, with no more fucking auction places, no spoiling the crybabies, you have to wait 10 minutes for a boat

This is an awesome video. I have played many other MMOs, but they all seem to lack the character of Everquest.

The mysteriousness of this game was what made it so great. You had absolutely every single fantasy element in this game which made it so great.

you had to work hard for your items but once you got that accomplished, you had what very little people had. Seeing people with Epics such as the Warrior back in the day was just as Epic and made you want to level more. LOL

The emotion EQ created was unlike any other game, that's why no MMORPG will ever top EQ. It's too bad that so many people never experienced EQ in it's prime.
