  • was john boy boy in there

  • @Dolphindream15 That's the same question I'm asking. Where's John Boy? There's no sign of the great RICHARD THOMAS. Was he not at the reunion? I know his acting career continues - I saw a recent movie about a town threatened with flooding with Richard in the lead role. He was THE great star of the Waltons - as narrator, it all hinged on Richard and the 'priest-like' personality of John-Boy.....I refer to his deep pastoral concern for family and all. Mr Thomas is also a major poet of course.

  • could you do another but mark the names please

  • Lesley Winston was the babe and is in the picture at :28.

  • I'm 26 years old and am addicted to this show.

    I love all these charecters.

  • @Chynaash the waltons was a GOOD FAMILY SHOW,,,which now days you rarely see any more,,it ran for a long time,,its good to see young people like you that like good family tv shows,,,

  • I loved this programe it was the best !

  • Did you know that Mary McDonough was the host of the Fantom Fury infomercial?

  • How old is Ralph Waite (John Walton Sr.)? He was in his early 40's when he did the show.

  • Hey, when did the Walton home get four bedroom windows added to the upstairs front? Now I've only watched the show a million times. Is that the rebuilt home after the original was damaged in a fire after the series ended? No it couldn't be. The reunion movies depicted only three windows. That's not Schulyer is it? Where was that external footage taken? Maybe they changed it.

  • @renaissanceman165 Thats not the same house that was on the show.

The house that was on the show was on the back lot of universal studios and it was burned to the ground.

  • Why was Ellen Corby not there?

  • @somewhatlongdong died several years ago well into her 90's

  • Would have been nice if the pictures had been labeled.

  • gnossticc shush! It is an awesome tv show! Hey, im 11! Never say that!

  • At 1.28 there is a group photo. Could you please tell me who is who front row, back row? Thank you

  • 2 questions: 1 is there another reunion being planned and 2. how does one find out about these reunions???

  • Ron Jeremy came in the place of Zeb Walton

  • Que saudades...

  • aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwww i remember ike he has such a large nose

  • It sure looked like Kami Cotler with the long blonde hair.... Boy, Mama Walton looks like she had some surgery....

  • I watched this show when I was a kid. It was wholesome and had family values. Glad it's on The Hallmark Channel. Much better than the stuff on now with the violence and tacky comedies.

  • @The1fuzzylogic I'm 17 and I come home from school and watch The Waltons for two hours :) It's my favorite show.

  • @The1fuzzylogic I absolutey agree, today it's only trashy tv series that make no sense.

  • Ohhh I love Verdie and Harley Foster. I've always thought she was so pretty. As a couple and as actors I just love them. I love it when their in the show or the show is about them. Like the time where JohnBoy was teaching Verdie how to read and write when Erin has her tonsils taking out in an exchange for firewood (not needed tho - she just wanted to learn to read & write). Such good actors !!!

  • This is the best show ever!!! I never get tired of it. I've seen them over and over and I'm still loving them. All the cast members picked were perfect for their roles. I wish I could meet all of them ....especially Richard Thomas! There's another you tube on here where he's signing autographs and he was soooooo very kind and sweet to everyone! A true gentlemen. You don't see celebs now days acting that way. Many stars could take lessons from Richard Thomas! Thanks for the show!!!

  • Can someone upload the actual footage from one of their reunions? That would be great. :)

  • poor jim bob

  • What an event that must have been! I had the pleasure of meeting Ellen Corby, once, and she was thee mOst delightful lady! I got to tell her she was "MY Grandma, TOO!" ;D

  • It was nice just to hear the old theme songt after so many years. It was a memorable show for me as my old dad especially loved the show.

  • I love the watching the waltons, their renunion pics. were really good. most of the cast members looked like their self. It was agood family oriented show. I wish they had more shows like this on tv now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The show is an icon, because it was true to the people EARL HAMNER JR. wrote about, and that is what made the WALTONS special. Thank you Mr. HAMNER sharing your life and family with us.The Waltons has touched many lives. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Olivia has such lovely blue eyes

  • u can still tell which r the children r

  • Who were the gray haired gent & the pretty lady shown at 0:22? I saw him again towards the end of the video with another lady. Their faces are not familiar.

  • I loved seeing this video & thank you so much for sharing it with us. I have Direct TV & I'm able to watch the Walton's twice daily. It's on Channel 364. It's on at 10:00 a.m. & the same episode is shown again at 8:00 p.m. The Walton's are not shown on this channel on the weekends. Peggy Rea, who was "Aunt Rose" on the show, appeared on All In the Family a few times. Thanks to those who have posted tidbits about the cast members. I really appreciate it.

  • Who is the couple at 1:15? Verdie Foster's husband was Harley.

  • Who is that woman on the left at :35?

  • @MusikLuvrToo

That is Carolyn Grinnell, president of the Waltons fan club.

  • @MusikLuvrToo Isn't that Zoolika Dunbar? Looks just like her.

  • Who's that lady at 1:16 and is that Yancy Tucker with her?? If not, who's that guy? Especially who's that lady??

  • @MusikLuvrToo That's John Boy Walton.

  • Where is John Boy

  • This was wonderful............

  • One of the best family shows of all time!.....night everyone :)

  • One of the great American shows....

  • Is that Rose with Zoolika Dunbar? If it is ...that's funny b/c they didn't like each other on the show lol. Loved it when Rose messed with Zoolika's engine and made it backfire b/c Zoolika was take Rose's man, Stanley Perkins. If that's Rose in the picture she sure did loose lots of weight. Good for her. Great lady!

  • They used to play The Waltons Monday-Friday at 5:00 a.m. & 6:00 a.m. Then....bah hum bug...they took it off and repalced it with The Golden Girls! ugh! Sorry, but made me angry. So I had to buy the DVDs. What I didn't get was The Waltons only came on twice a day and when they replaced it with the Golden Girls they now air like 6 or more Golden Girls and NO more Waltons on the Hallmark Channel. I was so bummed out. Oh well I got the DVDs now. I love Corabeth! Loved her in the Pears w/ her twin!

  • @ohpineapples

Still comes on at 3pm EST on Hallmark here in Florida. 2 episodes.

  • @rhikdavis Hi! Thank you! Yah..about a month ago my daughter told me they put it back on the Hallmark channel. I was like YES!!! lol When they took it off a while back and put on the Golden Girls 855 times a day lol I was really mad. I mean come on lol they take off the Waltons and put on the Golden Girls all day long? I thought what was Hallmark thinking?? So I went out and purchased all the seasons. I'm so glad the show is back on now. Thanks for telling me tho: ) I watch it everday.

  • Was that Kami Cotler with the long blonde hair? She she color her red hair. The smile looks like Kami's smile. I seen Kami not too long ago on some news channel ( I think it was Good Morning America, channel 7) & Kami looked the same. She had long red hair and freckles. Maybe Kami colored her hair for this event. I don't think that blonde was Aimee her best friend tho b/c the smile was not Aimee's. Who's the blonde w/ the 2 kids. I thought Jason married Tony Hazelton from the show too. Cami?

  • Kami Cotler was not there. I think she had some other commitments at the time and was unable to attend. That was Leslie Winston with the long blond hair. She played Cindy (Ben's wife) on The Waltons. That was Martha Nix who was pictured with her 2 kids. She played Serena, the littlegirl who came to live with the Waltons along with her brother and her grandmother, Rose. Jon Walmsley did marry Lisa Harrison (Toni), but they divorced and he is now remarried.

  • @grade1teacher That was little Serena with the long blonde hair? Boy she turned out pretty! I always thought she would be pretty tho. That's sad to hear that Jon Walmsley and Lisa Harrison(Toni H.) divorced. I actually liked it when Rose joined the show. I tried 2 find her, but didn't see her. Will look again. The Waltons is my favorite show:) I own all the DVD's & I watch 2 shows every morning while getting ready for work. JohnBoy&Maryellen are my favorites.I even watch them on the weekends:)TX!

  • Who was that at :22-25, was that Elizabeth (Kami Kottler)? And near the end the blond who looked pregnant with the two kids hugging her, was that Elizabeths friend Ike and Corabeth's little girl (I don't remember her name)

  • @BigTerKC

That was not the girl that the Godseys adopted (Aimee) in the photo with Ike. It was the girl who played Erin.

  • I recognized most of them, but some of the faces I couldn't place.

  • Does anyone know if the Walton is shown in Canada ?

  • I have found it on Vision at 3:00 Mon to Thur

  • I have found it on Vision at 3:00 M-Th

  • @JDherts Yes we get it here twice a day on Vision and CTS..

  • Maybe I am just a little bit sensible these days, but was impossible to watch it and do not drop some tears. The memories has played on my mind. Thank you for post!

  • MAN THEY LOOK WONDERFUL!! They have hardly aged a bit! GOD Bless each one of them and their families. They really were and are special people and brought such love and joy into our lives through their show!Thxx for the memories !!

  • Where was Elizabeth and Oh and the youngest boys name...oh it fails me... :(

  • @lovebirdjack Jim Bob. :)

  • The Waltons is on The History Channel in Canada Monday Thru Friday at 5pm. Ralph Waits now plays mark harmon lero gibbs dad on NCIS. Were was Elizabeth kami Colter. I wish she was not teaching and still was acting. I enjoyed Micheal Learned was great as a cancer patient on General Hospital this summer. When will the next waltons family reunion take place? I have all the waltons epsiode on dvd and the movies it's one of my favorite shows. I also miss Will Geer and Ellen Corby.

  • Who is this man at 1:08 standing with, whom I think is Erin? Is it Ike Godsey?

  • @oceansdoor Yes it is indeed ike.

  • @oceansdoor Yes, that was Ike Godsy. Did you know he was on that movie "Cast Away" with Tom Hanks? First I heard his voice. Then I rewound it and sure enough it was Ike Godsey lol. He looked the same too. I always seen the reviews at the end and it said his name.

  • the walton house was used in the dukes of hazzard tv series as an orphanage and boss's uncle silas's house

  • They all look really great. Michael Learned's still beautiful.

  • I loved the Walton series. It's the kind of family I wish I'd been born into. They haven't changed all that much either. Best wishes to all of them!

  • Much to my regret, I almost didn't recognize Ralph Waite (Daddy John), at the opening. He's changed quite a bit, but growing older can do such things. Glad to know the strong patriarch of the Walton family is still among us though. :^)

  • @Democrat64 The man standing on the front porch is Earl Hamner Junior, not Ralph Waite.

  • LOVE IT!!! I can't wait to see Michael Learned on stage in our city in August 2010 in "Driving Miss Daisy". Sarnia Imperial Theatre.

  • @CanadiAnnie

OMG SHE WOULD BE GREAT IN THAT

  • @twolfb4u She was COMPLETELY AWESOME!!!!!!!! She stood out front in the lobby of Theater afterwards and talked to everyone who wanted to talk to her. She took pics and signed autographs. She is SOO down to earth and so wonderful. She had her little dog with her "Daisy" :) SOO CUTE!

  • @CanadiAnnie How was the show?? I bet it was great! I seen Michael Learned not too long ago in a play. She played "Wheezer" lol in Steel Magnolias. She was GREAT! Cathy Rigby was in it too. Boy oh Boy, Michael Learned is really tall ! She seemed tall on TV, but on stage really close up to her ...she's really Tall !! She was so funny as "Wheezer" What part did she play on Driving Miss Daisy? That's one of my favorite movies. Thanks !! = ))

  • This must mean Im officially old!

  • The lady with the white hair and the black dress. It took a few, but is that the actress who played Zoolika Dunbar? I am not spelling her name right, but I remember her. As for Michael Learned, I didn't know about the face lift. She looks the same just a bit older. She plays on General Hospital, now. She is one of the cancer patients. Great post.

  • Was Jim-Bob at this event?

  • So sad that Michael Learned has a facelift and other surgeries. She just doesn't look like what I remember. I hope she's happy with her new face and look.

I'll just keep remembering the beautiful woman who played in The Waltons and not this new creation.

  • where was John Boy?

  • @jacksblack1

I have all the dvd, but when and what network is showing The Waltons. I mean it is the best show ever ever ever.

  • The girl at 1:24 has a nice body!

  • I would so like to see another reunion. Maybe this year in 2010. what do you say?

  • excellent! wish I was there!

  • Thanks for this always in our hearts, this series made many families recollect

  • there were NO blacks on Waltons Mt. !!!

  • Lynn Hamilton played Verdie grant Foster, the African American you see in the pictures. She was a friend of Olivia's and John Boy actually taught her to read in one of the episodes. Her husband Harley (Hal Williams) used to fix autos for Ike Godsey. They had 3 kids, one was adopted.

  • Who was that lady with the white hair with the one who played olivia i don't get who she is i don't know if that was the one who played corabeth or not!

  • She is the Walton's Fan Club President, Carolyn Grinnell posing with Olivia (Michael Learned)

  • Mary Elizabeth McDonough- "Erin Walton" was always my favorite. I still think she is HOT!

  • So where is John Boy?

  • Seems like yesterday.

  • Is that Cindy at 0:27. Hell, give me some of what she's been on!

  • This is really pretty cool. :-)

  • You're too young to recognize any of them and disrespecting them won't help.

  • does anyone know how many of the original cast was there? Are the reunions open to the fans, I would love to go to one

  • Thanks for posting this montage, very nice.

  • I'll bet they drank a lot of "recipe" at that reunion.

  • LOL

  • I didn't see the actor who played Jim Bob, David W. Harper, is he still around, or, did he pass away?

  • Subtitles are missing - i'm not recognizing anybody

  • You're not recognizing anybody?? You obviously didn't really watch the Waltons that much! Many of them are clearly visible.

  • Richard Thomas was afraid when he was playing John Boy. A guy (David selby) from the vampire soap Dark Shadows guested on the Waltons and he scared Thomas right out of his mind. That's why Thomas soon quit. Read the great bio All About Jeffrey Hunter at amazon and see how Hunter was horribly afraid of another DS performer (Diana Millay).

  • Uh...what?

  • The book on Jeffrey Hunter will explain what I said better!

  • Thanks for this -- enjoyed it VERY much! Love this show and I'm so glad it's all out on DVD now and the 6 specials are coming out in January 2010, awesome!!

  • would have been good to have put names to all the Characters. There was a few I didn't recognize x

  • I agree with you there

  • I'd love to go someday to a Waltons reunion. Any one else been there and would like to share what their experiences there were like? I hear that sometimes the reunions are in California and sometimes in Virginia.

  • Wow, thanks for posting that.... It just puts a perspective on how long ago the show was....

    and how old Im getting....

  • I used to luv this show! Check out my tvc I filmed with some kids playing a prank on a lady: PRANKSTERS IN THE PARK

  • If you do some research on the guy who played Ben, in real life, he lost his wife right after their only child was born. I forgot how, but he was alone for a long time, raising his little girl.

  • Eric Scott's first wife died from cancer shortly after their daughter was born. He is now remarried and has 2 more children, a girl and a boy.

  • That's what I thought .. thanks, grade1teacher. I know he was devastated by her death, but I'm glad he found happiness again.

  • Michael Learned has NOT aged well!!

  • Too much cosmetic surgery

  • Was Jim bob here?

  • I'm so surprized John Boy wasnt at this reunion... Richard Thomas,( thats it) was there any bad blood going on? I certainly think he would have been there.

I LOVE the Waltons and still enjoy the show..I'm definately going to get the DVDs

    Thanks for posting!

  • Well, I know that for one season, after John-Boy had come back from World War II, Richard Thomas left the show. I don't know what was behind that.

  • it is sorta sad to see this. I always think of how it was

  • who's at 0:24 ?

    and 1:20 ?

  • At 00:20, is that Cora Beth?

  • @harperusa, I thought it was Zoolika Dunbar. Not sure how to spell that name. Will have to look at some old credits.

  • I don't remember any blacks on the mountain.

  • Oh, sure there were. I remember one episode where some little black waif somehow showed up on Walnut Mt. The Walnuts, of course, wanted to adopt him. Later on, I seem to recall a black family moving close by...becoming best friends to the Walnut brood.

  • Well, it was set in the South during segregation...

Seriously, though, there was a black family that was friends with the Waltons. Verdie, her sons Jodie and Josh, and her husband whose name escapes me, but was played by Hal Williams (whose credits include Sanford and Son, 227, and Private Benjamin).

  • His character was 'Harley Foster' I believe, his son was 'Jodie Foster' (he and 'Verdie Grant' met while picking peaches with the Walton's), they married and then also adopted 'Josh' who was on the road and on his own.

  • @alwrig I thinnk his name was...Ah-HA!! FOUND it! It was "Harley"! ..lol, you probably know that by now, but your query got me curious, and I went hunting for it at IMDb.. Took the long way around, as it turned out, looking up the episode, {still can't find the darn thing}, and finally looking up Hal Williams, and ta-da! ~ I wish there would be a series like this today!

  • @alwrig Coincidentally, Verdie and Harley aka Lynn Hamilton, and Hal Williams both appeared on Sanford and Son in recurring roles. Lynn Hamilton played Fred Sanford's girlfriend Donna. Each appeared on both shows concurrently.

  • Thanks for sharing your reunion photos. It would be great to see you chatting and sharing your memories of the show. I really love the show and always will. Thank you!

  • Who are these people and who kidnapped the Waltons???

  • Do you mean Virginia mountain folk? I think you are in the wrong state.

  • You didn't even know what state this show was about. Then you said the actors are "California pinkos". But Ralph Waite and Richard Thomas are from New York state, Michael Learned is from Washington, D.C., Will Geer is from Indiana, and Ellen Corby is from Wisconsin.

Also, the two hour TV special "A Decade of the Waltons" was filmed in Schuyler, VA. So in fact, most of the actors from the show have been to Virginia.

Not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, are you?

  • You said that the actors were "pretending" to be something. Well, that is exactly what actors do. Didn't you know that!? Not exactly the brightest bulb in the chandelier, are you.

You know, you are making yourself look like a total fool here. Do you really want to continue to humiliate yourself this way?

  • And when did the actors ever disrespect "mountain folk"? "Pinkos"? What is it, 1952 Senator McCarthy?

  • Sorry Charlie, but McCarthy was right. Put down the liberal Kool-aid, switch off the Communist News Network and read a book.

  • Eeeek! What happened to Liv's face....and Jason's ears? Where'd they go?

  • She is still beautiful. Think how old she must be now. I don't recognize all the people; any way we could get some names to go with this? This is great too, thank you.

  • I wish I had all the Season of the Waltons,They were the best.thanks for posting

  • Thought I would let you know, that you can buy all the seasons on Amazon.

  • Thanks for letting me know

  • I've been a fan ever since "The Homecoming: A Christmas Story" aired on CBS in 1971 (I was 6 years old).

I now have the first 6 seasons on DVD; my wife and I still enjoy watching the show.

Today's shows are nothing but violence and lust. Today's young people have been cheated out of the types of programs we enjoyed as kids during the 1970s (such as The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, Carol Burnett Show, and Happy Days).

Thanks for sharing this reunion; it was quite a treat.

  • @thowen1988

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU THERE IS A DIFFERENT FEEL IN THE TV WORLD FOR SURE ITS JUST JUNK

  • @twolfb4u Thanks; it's nice to know there's others out there who enjoy the TV classics.

The wholesome shows we grew up with in the 1970s (such as 'The Waltons' and 'Little House on the Prairie') probably wouldn't last with today's audiences because there's no smut, foul language, kids denouncing and disrespecting their parents and our country.

  • @thowen1988 How about now with the loss of the good old Saturday morning cartoons. It's sad times we live in that a guy can't get up and watch some "Looney Tunes" or "Scooby Doo".

  • @Penopskot

If you have Direct TV, they are now offering a retro cartoon channel for those of us who have grown up with the best when it came to cartoons. That's when cartoons were fun to watch. If you have DT, look on the Guide for that oldies cartoon channel. I can't think of it right now.

  • Omg.who painted the house that color?

  • i love the waltons. my mom was a HUGE fan and i would watch the shows with her. I'm going to get her season 2 and I'm working on watching all the seasons from netflix.

  • i have 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 seasons

  • I love the waltons I have season 1 2 and 3 and I see the series everyday on tv. its great.

  • I can't wait! My Eighth Season DVDs are being delivered in January! :+) I wish I could find all the Holiday & Reunion episodes on DVD, too. :+)

  • That's a face lift gone horribly wrong at 0:40.

  • Strange thinking that Michael Learned must be about the same age now as Ellen Corby was when the Waltons begain.

  • I don't see Elizabeths photo, where is she?
