Nice, would love to have a crew cab. Got a '70 F-250 Camper Special with a 390/C6. You're right about the vertical bolts leaking, and they only get worse with headers (keep your manifolds). Had to put some crazy retarded chimp torque on the bolts to get them all blowing right.

Nice truck. They dont make them like that anymore. I have a 77 150 4x4 and those trucks are tanks. I have the 400 under the hood. Going to swap in a 460 this summer. Cool video

@HUMMVE100 Yes. Ford pretty much started the 4-door truck thing. The earliest one I've seen was a 1968, same body as this truck.

set the timing around 8 degrees at 650rpms, run colder than stock spark plugs and run no higher than a 180 thermostat and so long as you have 92 or 93octane running through her she should be fine. i don't have a 390gt motor but a 390 4v from a 67 galaxie w/ 10.5 from the factory and it runs fine with that setup

yea i'm 16, i can tell you that truck would still be the badest in the parking lot. there are 2800 students at my school too. there is an 85 or 86 chevy lifted like 6 inches, with a 396 in it. but yours would eat it alive.

It came factory with 4x4, but it was converted to a long box. It used to be a short box. I live in good ol' North Idaho.

Along with the tire sizes please. I just got a 75' f250 with a 460 under the hood and want to lift it about 3 in. but I don ont know how gas will go. I would like some 33 tires. Do you know about how many miles to the gallon I'll be getting? Its stock right now and gets 11-12. WIth the 3 in. lift and 33's how many mpg do you think Ill get?

It has a 4 inch lift on 36 inch tires. This one gets like 6 mpg.... Yours will prolly be better, like 10 mpg? Just guessing.

Is that a retro fitted 390? I don't think Ford offered the 390 in 4wd's. For that the biggest engine was the 360.

wow impressive! I had 1 but not en extra cab. it had been replaced w/ a 78 400. it was a resteration in progress 4x4 3/4 ton custom. i was never able to finish the job. i had all except 1 part. including the cab,body,. rebuilt engine w/ powerpac heads. 2 reasons i lost the property i was working on. and no where to put the truck. all i needed was a steering box for the manual steering. im sorry to say i scraped it. i know wish i didnt. long before now.
