@johnyboytrack29 Led Zeppelin came after Deep Purple in terms of metal. Regardless, both of them are usually considered more Proto-metal by today's standards. I'd say Sabbath brought it all together and invented the melancholy mood along with the strong anti-establishment, anti-happiness standpoint. To me, that's where it went from heavy Rock to Metal.

honestly, Dio is better than ozzy in most sabbath songs, but in the Randy tribute album, there is no way Dio beats Ozzy there, but Dio is good in this song

I kind of like both ozzy and dio, however I do like ozzy more for black sabbath. also ozzy has more songs from his solo career that I like. don't get me wrong though, because dio is pretty sweet and has a really good voice

@5150zac Ozzy is the best at singing Ozzy tunes, but just as Dio doesn't exactly knock it out of the park singing this song... Ozzy has less than no chance in Hell of ever being able to sing Children of the Sea, Sign of the Southern Cross or...well, ANY Dio era Sabbath tune. At least RJD can pull off NIB. So, thats +1 for Dio & 0 for Ozzy. Having said that, I am a fan of both line-ups. All in all though, Dio is the better singer if you're going by ability. Up the Irons!!! \m/

@jlr41877 i was never a big fan of the original i like some of ozzys live versions much better as i do with most sabbath music. for some reason i like live sabbath way more then studio sabbath. Reunion sabbath is by far my favourite album from sabbath
