Yeah so, my sister just bought this and it won't turn on. It's hooked up to the charger, has the batteries inside (the ones that it came with), and it just won't turn on. Does anyone else have this problem? And does anyone have a solution?
i'd get the soundsticks! i find that keeping my iphone on my alarm every night negatively affects the battery so tend to keep my ipods on alarm instead of iphone - i would love the soundsticks!
Yes but eventually i found that my battery wasn't lasting as long - eventually not even a full day at work. Genius in apple said its not good to leave on alarm every night - within a couple of days of not using battery was so much better!
i know - that's why i wanted it too but as soon as i put the bad battery life with leaving it on charge all night I stopped using it as much! Although i use my nano or my video on it so can still wake up to music...... although now chris evans is on in the morning on BBC 2 i listen to him!!!
Still wondering, how I can switch my clock to 24hr mode. I bought an ip9 today, it's pretty similar to this one, and I need an answer badly. Honestly, 12hr mode is really pissing me off(( Please, help( I would be really grateful.
I don't have this alarm anymore so can't tell you - don't you have the instruction book - it must be in there! Is there a hidden button that you have to press with a pen or similar! If you dont' have the instruction book anymore maybe go back to the shop and smeak a peak at an instruction book there!!!
Sorry but i really can't remember - I hate 12 hour mode
No, unfortunately, no single word about this issue is there in the instruction book... And I also can't see any hidden buttons( Oh well, I guess, it's my bitter fate then, to use this freaking 12hr mode. Or I hope that I will get some feedback on the official ihome site.
HOW?!? The instructions do not give any indication this is possible. Your video is the first time I have seen this feature discussed. I was excited to see it was 22:30!
I actually have the model "ip9" from CostCo. I wonder if mine is inferior? :-(
I seem to remember that the remote did an awful lot and yes you could switch the playlists!!! However only used the remote for turning the alarm off so cannot be sure! Sorry !!!!
i was thinking of getting the Sony ipod/iphone clock radio. There have been good reviews on it except for the sound quality part. But i heard that you can browse through the playlist with the remote so thats why i'm keen on the Sony one and its only $160AUD
I'm more interested in whether or not it can browse the playlists using the remote. Cuz alot of speaker docks nowadays only offer skip forward, back, stop, play, pause and thats it.
ACtually I took the iHOme back to the store - after a few days I started hearing a little bit of interference all night - constant buzzing. I went back to apple store and apple genius said you would always hear some interference but i think that should not be case
I now have a logitech built for the iphone 3g which has no interference but is not perfect.
i was waiting for ihome to get back to be before i do an update video.
i like how someone said "great review i will definitely buy this one" then you replied "i returned it to the store" LOL XD hilarious.
I think the interference could be ghost tryin to contact you. I have like regular speakers no radio or anything, just plain speakers not attached to anything but it was on. One night i sat there typing and all of a sudden i heard some voice but static and sounded like jumbled up words. So i just switched it off. Happen to me many times now.
well i like to be honest!!!! I did love it for the first week or so until the interference started - which got worse and worse and i think was maybe a problem with my iHome and may not be the case with others!!!!
after reading the comments i decided to go to the Apple website and browse through their ipod docks and see what people have written. From what i've read that they didn't have any problems with interference, so i think it may have just been your one that was faulty and you were right to have returned it. =)
you just slide it out quite easy. i have taken mine back though as it kept getting interference all night. I was waiting for a response from ihome before i did an update video!
I have a 4th gen ipod nano and i was wondering do u have 2 put an insert in the ihome for the nano 2 work or do u not need 1? Ur Review was very helpful.
Awesome review! I have an iHome alarm clock and I absolutely love it! I want to get a new one though because mine isnt designed for the iPhone. I'm gonna look into this model now. Thanks!
i cant conect my iphone 2g with my ihome.
my iphone is loading (batterie) but I cant listen to music.

Hi bunnydrumming. Nice review. Do you know any outlets in the UK supplying this? I can't find it anywhere online, the iP9 seems to be more mainstream

Hi bunnydrumming
Could you please tell me if the radio on the ihome 99 is digital or analogue? Can you get 6 Music, BB7 etc on it?
Thanks

well - if its digital they have not advertised the fact on the box!!
