  • This was right in the middle of Hempstead Tpk. I was there. This is nothing compared to what's going to happen when they bring yet another presidential debate to Hofstra in 2012.

  • 1:40 -- "C'mon everybody: Hey, your horse just crushed mah foot!" LOL!! Just like Chris Rock says, "If the police have to chase you, they're bringin' an ass-kickin with them!!

  • vet or no vet, if you act like an asshole & aggressively provoke the police and test their patience, you will get your ass kicked. or tazed. and you will have deserved it. your rights arent being denied by anyone but yourself when you act like an asshole. this includes all you bitter paultards.

    thank you

  • He said if you *aggressively* provoke the police, you will get your ass kicked.

    And, rightfully so.

Anyone who thinks they have the unilateral right to behave with hostility needs to grow up. Until then, expect to be treated with the contempt you deserve.

  • Yep. Sad that these immature children don't understand that.

  • they're not "aggressive" enough. When cops use violence against Americans practicing their right to protest people should yank them off their horseys and woop some ass. You aint no skater you right wing fat boy

  • WRITE THIS DOWN! McCain will not win the election. The fears are, if he does win. He may be put under a microscope one day. He might be questioned about his Dad's involvement in the USS Liberty cover up. Putting our relationship with Israel under the same microscope, and they don't want that to happen now that America is overstretched, in the Mid-East. That's why Obama has overwhelming financial support.

  • Oh yeah you can totally tell that they are WAR VETS due to the CRAZY ASS way they PROTEST! Good Gods. Just Go Home. Seriously. These political people KNOW that people aren't happy with the way things are going, they KNOW that every body hates bush and the bush administration, they know that they are in the shit hole so just STFUP & go home!

Obviously over the course of 8 years all your protesting DIDN'T help to stop the war or bush so just stop it. Gods people. Really.

  • WTF!?!?!?!?!!!!!???!!!!!!

  • Wow wait to protest peacefully. you want the troops to come home and end this war thats great but you know what, protest for peace peacefully.

  • people hurl abuse at football referees at nearly every sporting event Ive been to and for some reason 'HARDENED POLICE OFFICERS GET SCARED AT THIS?'

The horses are trained not to act unless their handler makes them, so swinging a 300lb animal into a person is nothing but 'weakness on the police officers part'

    Riot police are cowards.

Maybe I should use the old nutshell 'THEY DONT SUPPORT OUR TROOPS WHEN THEY TURN ON THEM WITH VIOLENCE?'

  • The problem with the comand "Backup" in a crowd is that there is no were to back up to...especialy with the number of people in that crowd standing in the back now angery and pushing forward, this was idiodic of the police...obviously peaceful protest, what were they going to do hit them with thier signs? to forcfully push and trample people was an idiodic dession by the police, yes people got ANGERY, People were already angery thats why they were there..watch the other videos, obviously peacful

  • Iraqi war veterans, huh? Guess they didn't spend enough time there to know how to obey a simple lawful order like "back up." Video shows nothing but cops and horses remaining cool under fire. Those vets could learn from that...

  • OMG! Did that cop just SPIT into the crowd?? That's appalling!

  • Theft of the 2008 Election Part 2 <---watch this vid very important.

  • Look to MLK or Gandhi to see how an effective peaceful protest looks.

  • I love seeing people protesting but its hard to support them when they are chanting at the cops, "shame on you!". Can we please elevate ourselves above such mindless negative attacks that most likely hurt our cause more than they help. A+ for passion, C- for uncreative and misdirected negative chants.

  • I remember seeing a bunch of people using this same chant during a florida recount and cops didnt even show up.

  • the "shame on you" chant came after they arrested iraq veterans, and then again after they trampled people on the sidewalk with horrses

  • Sure made alot of noise for a "peaceful" protest. I saw the "trampled" person fighting w/ the cops on foot just before he fell...Soon as it got dark the loud mouth's started, the cowards they are hiding in the dark..

  • boy you really do know nuthing. nick was holding a banner. nobody, NOBODY was fighting. yes, nasty things were yelled at the cops. many of those who yelled were people who, it seemed, just happened on the scene. they had not been out there all day, at least I hadnt seem them.

  • Anyone bringing their kids to a protest, let's say under the age of 16,and have them right up front, get's my vote for "Dad of the Year". yay.

  • Thanks for your vote my sons are 16 & 19.

  • Hey I was there right up front with my two sons; the cops pushed us past many points and pulled at least three out of the crowd and dragged them; one was stepped on by a horse; The demonstration was very peaceful until the horses started police had the horses push the crowd. A woman was kicked by a horse. It was unneccessary. It is true that many of the protesters were hurling insults but nothing more than words

and I believe it is our right to speak our minds.

  • damn, the protesters were way out of line here. The cops were just doing their job of keeping them from burning down the building or causing a massive riot. if a protest becomes violent, that is a small-scale revolution, like the American revolution, but unorganized and fighting up against the power of the modern police force. The only way to change the system is to be a part of the system and change it from there. You can't stop an avalanche, but you can divert its direction

  • i was at this protest, and it was 100% non-violent peaceful assembly. i would appreciate it if you could indicate one instance of how the demonstrators were "way out of line".

when the police closed us in on the sidewalk when one of the officers lost control of his horse and a few people got trampled by it, one of them was an iraq veteran who got stepped on in the face. unleashing a wild 300lb animal onto innocent civilians.. i'm not sure that's in the job description.

  • Look, I wasn't there but I saw the video and the video showed me how loud and insulting the protesters were being. If a mob of people was hurling insults at me in that manner, I'd be damn scared. I'd wanna make sure nothing happened to me. I'm sure "unleashing a wild 300lb animal onto innocent civilians" could be reworded to "the horse got frightened by the loud and violent-looking mob and acted as a horse would act." Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure the cops didn't mean to trample anyone

  • wish i understood your logic of how benign chanting could frighten burly police officers with night sticks and horses. there weren't more than 50 people at this point, and all we had were our voices and banners. we weren't doing anything, the police got bored with us and decided to force the horses onto the sidewalk to stir shit up. i'm sure they didn't want to hurt anyone, it makes them look bad. when it happened there were officers laughing and most were still using scare tactics on the crowd

  • The chanting and tone of the crowd wasn't all benign. You can clearly hear people calling the cops "nazi's" and "fascists". I STRONGLY disagree with the tactics of the cops. I also understand the severity and not so unlikely possiblity of our country turning into a police state. However, what I am trying to say is you can't fight hate with hate. Every war starts with defense. If someone engages you violently, you have a choice to respond with more violence or work to find a peaceful solution.

  • fifty people, give me a break, the whole corner was full of "peaceful" protesters refusing to return to the sidewalk and designated area's to continue their demonstration. Like little children, give em an inch and they want a yard.

  • Maybe there was no physical violence but there was plenty of verbal attacks going on. "Nazis" real nice, thats 100% peaceful and not at all "way out of line"

  • Burning things down?

And you got this from where?

really , do yourself a favour and drink some bleach.

  • are you pro-peace? yet you want me to drink bleach for making a statement based on my interpretation of a youtube video?...hmmmm...

  • If for one second you think the "police" (Nazi SS thugs) are there to "serve and protect" then you have been living in a bubble since the 80s.

These assholes accept money to crush YOUR Constitutional right to SPEAK.

They are chosen for their low IQs and their love of brutality. These "police" ENJOY hurting their fellow citizens. It makes them feel good. Because they are simple mided, it makes them feel important, powerful.

They are traitors to America and they will pay for their treason.

  • do you like my profile? O

  • At the 1:30 mark the cop SPITS on the protesters!

    !

    !

    !

  • he's just saying "back up" and his head nods as the horse pushes people back. He is not spitting at anyone. The cops here acted perfectly, the crowd was being disruptive. They're lucky they didn't decide to disburse them with tear gas.

  • toward the end of this video Nick Morgan, a veteran was trampled by the horse. he's in the hospital with a large cut on his face, a few broken ribs and a possible concussion. what are the police doing using horses as crowd control???

  • How would you suggest controlling a crowd that is getting out of hand? In case you didn't see and here the police telling the people to back up. All the while some of the people are cursing at the police and refusing to back up. Maybe the police should leave and let the protesters do what they like, maybe let them start a riot.

  • Or perhaps the behavior of the protesters is a function of the disproportionate use of force by the police? After all, rioting protesters would be a bonus for the police who would then get to "put down" the "chaotic" alternative political movement, thus painting the police as saviors and the movement as crazy and dangerous, even if the rioting was (intentionally) provoked by the police themselves.

  • they didn't need horses to do that

  • Get your fact's straight, he had a facial injury, refused treatment and was released...along his merry way he went !!

  • no actually, the police refused to send him to the hospital. they put him on the bus going to the jail, then realized the severity of his injuries and brought him to the hospital.

  • Your comments are not based on any facts whatsoever and you only intend to incite others .

  • please cite where your facts are coming from.

i was at the hospital and witnessed first hand what happened.

  • "i'm taping you"

    "i don't care" -cop
