  • Very good but in 3rd movement I think your can make your sound beter than this

  • ok but too slow, especially the vif, try a little more PP dynamics and faster, it was too loud over all

  • nice work men i can ask u something? ahmm what time you play the 3rd movement?

  • Uff, I don't really know, try to check it with a metronome, I don't remember anymore, it was 2 years ago.

  • Nice, you should work on your sound. In some places it is very vulgar, you should control it.

P.S. It's even looks like a pop sound,mb you have a metal mouthpeace or jazz mouthpeace. Change it on a classical Vandoren a17,a27 or a28 mouthpeace(what is the most comf. fore you)

  • Thank you all for comments and advices. I'll consider all of them.

  • keep your throat and your ambouchure open and in place. Your pitch is all over the place in third movement. But good performance overall.

  • its good but with little vibrato will be better :P

  • some was rush w/ slight errors

  • Good job!!!

I'm thinking about playing the Scaramouche this year and your video will help a lot. Thanks for posting.

  • very nice!!! especially with just a student horn.

check out the vandoren AL3 mouthpiece and the Yamaha Custom EX when you are able to upgrade! thats what Sagawa, Fourmeau, and Otis Murphy use....

  • very good!!! I played this piece like 4 yrs ago and have not picked it up in a while...my friend heard this song as i listened to it and told me i could never play it so i am relearning!!!!! LOVE IT!

  • A chi vuoi prendere per il culo?

  • perfect!

  • Well done. I've also played this piece one year ago.

Except the instrument, i'd like to say that you can do even better on dynamic. Try to control the volume even there's forte. I know you want to emphasize the dynamic change but a suddenly very loud part will only scared the audience a little bit which makes the piece sounds unnatural.

  • inak aby ste vedeli on je beboper:)

  • Hahaha! Tak uz nie dixielandak!

  • Well done. I can hear how Nobuya Sugawa's version has influenced you.

My 16 year old daughter is playing this piece for her LTCL exam. She has just changed from a Selmer Series II to a Buffet S1 which gives a much softer classical sound. What set up do you use?

All the best with your studies.

  • I am playing the lowest series of Amati (brand made in Czech Republic), just a student model, and Yamaha 4C mouthpiece, which is also the basic series for Yamaha.

I just have not been able (financial issue) to buy a decent instrument so far. But I tried to do my best with what I had, I especially had to work on tone, and intonation, because those just were not the strengths of my instrument.

But I guess it worked out sufficiently.

    Thank you for your comment!

  • In that case you have done extremely well. When I hears you play I assumed that you had a selmer series II.

If you are ever able to change your mouthpiece to a Selmer C* it will make a big difference.

Again, well done. You have a great future ahead of you.

  • Buddy you stunned me.I am really proud of you.
