  • lol yeah it's funny how they put all the map there with no way to explore it. also note you can't enter the sun cave.

  • Epoch is damn soundproof.

It's freezing. FREEZING AS HELL. It's loud because of it.

But nothing can be heard in Epoch. Amazing!

  • All of those wonderful islands - destroyed by the Enlightened Ones' dependence on Lavos with the Mammon machine.

Except the sun temple. That thing is like indestructible.

Oh, and that blue pyramid which somehow sunk to the bottom of the sea.

  • I wonder if that northwest island is the "deserted island" that Gaspar is supposed to be living on as he seeks to create the Chrono Trigger...

  • Mod hacks, or in some cases hacked codes can help you get these effects I should know I've hacked enough of them to know! lol Great vid though!

  • they copied the wind sound from final fantasy 6!

  • @Legomakerx lol, actually Chrono Trigger is published by Squaresoft (now Square-Enix) who made Final Fantasy 6 after this game. Therefore, FF6 took the wind sound from Chrono Trigger.

Another variation of the Final Fantasy series would be Mystic Quest on the snes.

  • @AM0ERIC0AN :o.....

  • @AM0ERIC0AN mystic quest was the shit! but too short

  • @AM0ERIC0AN "FF6 took the wind sound from Chrono Trigger."

    nuh uh. :/

  • @Legomakerx as AM0ERIC0AN, don't be so ignorant next time

  • @Zodiamaster what the heck r u talking about O_o?? How was i ignorant

  • I ALWAYS wanted to know what was on the northwest island in the Earthbound part of 12,000 BC. By normal means you can't even get the island on the screen, except for the southernmost part of it. This video allows us to see for a fact that there is a graphical layout for this island - one that you can never see without 'cheating' like this.

  • Ah God! Somebody stop the shitty plane music!

  • "Before it's destruction by the tsunami!"

I thought it was a tidal wave because of the impact from above.

  • @blank404

Just so you know, a tsunami *is* a tidal wave (^-^)

  • I never realized how much I've missed that Epoch song.

  • Not much to do in the pre-cataclysm, eh?

  • lol.

  • como diablos lo haces??? O_O

  • Che.. Como le haces..¿? XD

  • people dont realize that you can use cheats and stuff to get the same effect. lol

  • how do you use the map

  • Try with the shift

  • how could this game be so perfect...its a deep history

  • if there was a scene in like, new game+ or something, where you fought dalton in a dogfight that would've been AWESOME

  • Kinda reminds me of when I was a kid thinking, "Oh, there's so many cool things if I could just get there."

But it doesn't take long for you to figure out there can't be anything because it's a game and the designers never programmed any data for those areas.

  • Haha! Me too.

  • It's funny that you say that because I remember when I was a kid and playing Super Mario World, there was this part of the map that looked as if for sure there was something there, it even looked like there was a ladder to unlock that fit into the land. I would play for a while trying to unlock whatever it was I thought was there and then years later (recently) I discover that there was never anything there.

  • I figured that out for tons of games once I got a game shark.

  • i dont see why its impossible when i just seen u go there

  • HAHAHAH RIGHT ON! XD

  • It's because the epoch has wings which it doesn't get until you escape from the Blackbird after the tsunami happens. Before that, the Epoch doesn't have any wings and cannot fly around

  • Amirkota, it's impossible because you don't get the flying epoch until after most of the land mass has been destroyed. That map is before the epoch gets its wings. In other words, you're not supposed to have the flying version of the epoch until later on in the game.

  • @amirkota same here... :/

  • @amirkota it's impossible because the epoch can't move around before the zeal kingdom (and this world) destruction.

  • @amirkota Someone said that on the Impossible Exploration #2

  • @amirkota because he's chuck norris

  • Ya know, I was watching this video and thinking: "Why would this be impossible if you can fly around this place anyway?". But then I saw that it was during the whole blizzard of 12,000 BC and realized that you can't exactly fly around during that blizzard.

    But yeah, great video! :D

  • Wow, I completely forgot that the tsunami happened in the first place. This takes me way back.

  • Explain to me why it didn't say "Sun Keep" when you walked up to the cave opening at 51sec. (Is it the Sun Keep? I haven't played this game in years.) Shouldn't there be text naming the place you would have entered?

  • Yes. But Square did not plan on people exploring other parts of these maps and since it would be useless to make maps for unplayable places.

  • Yeah--essentially it should be like that, saying "Sun Keep" but also when he did his second exploration--it didn't say anything either. The only reason this map is here--is to fulfill the game, same with the second exploration--used to enhance the storyline when Lavos destroys the world. No one was meant to be able to fly across the globe at this time with the Epoch--therefore why make more to the game if it wasn't needed?

  • Because this map is actually a different world map in the ROM entirely from the one you normally get to explore with the Epoch. That map is the one that has the door to the 12000 B.C. Sun Keep. This map doesn't have that, and only has the feature to keep it consistent when you blow up the map and compare it to other maps. Essentially, you're visiting a different world map everytime you go to 12000 B.C. after Lavos blows up Zeal. (Which is also a different world map, by the way.)

  • how u do that?

  • did someone tried to explore zeal before the collapse, the starting of mammon machine ?

  • Comment removed

  • Haha...I forgot about this place. Nice

  • Holy crap, that was awesome.

  • It's for people that have already completed the game countless times...Cheating fun, as long as you don't use it to progress through the game for the first time.

  • Now did you try and enter the Sun Cave. Because in 600 AD, before there is an entrance to the cave for rainbow shell, you can actually enter it and complete it. So I'm just wondering did you try and enter the Sun Cave even though "Sun Cave" didn't come up in white?

  • ...Awesome. That's really all I have to say.

  • That is AWESOME!!! How did you do that?

  • Using game genie codes.. I don't remeber exactly which combination of em let you do this, but in can be found on internet..

First place to look around should be ChronoCompendium (every thing that has a "Chrono" in it's name is thoroughly commented there!!)

  • @ChronoTsubasaRules This is Pretty Easy if you got Temperoal Flux i tried this myself but you couldn't enter places

  • ...................

  • That would be "impossible exploration#3" (the last one) but I haven't managed to do that yet...

  • Dude, that's awesome. You should try to explore Zeal next.
