  • OH! MY! GOD!!! I LOVE THIS!!!! Flappers, Cars,& Jack Hylton`s AWSOME version of this song. This is just too COOL!!!! I love Your WONDERFUL videos.

  • Aaron how do you know the exact month of the video footage?

  • When I obtain an old video clip or song it 9/10 times says the date next to it.

The Jack Hylton song was recorded January 22nd 1930.

The Four Bright Sparks version was recorded January 20th 1930.

The line of people walking across the road and dancing was filmed in 1930.

(Likely early 1930 because of their heavy clothing / winter look).

Finally the Kerb dance tutorial was filmed on the 13th February 1930.

  • Makes sense ThanQ

  • The British Fox-Trot orchestras of the 1930's were the best. Thanks for your continued contributions.

  • I remember being in London and as a "Yank" looked left when stepping off the curb. I had one close call with a cab. I adjusted quickly after that.

  • A great public service record!

    Why "Kerb" and not "Curb?!!"

  • A great public service record!

Jack Hylton was an immensely popular 1930s British bandleader. He will not look down kindly upon thee for getting his name wrong...
