  • Nah! It's crankin!

Greer's feminism is as critical of the mindsets of women as it is of the attitudes of men.

it's not a film about wanting to kill men,

it's about how lame greer thinks womens

    unrealistic ideas of love are.

    der.

what are all you guys? american?

  • Holy Crap.....creepiest thing i've ever seen.........and ive seen alot of creepy shit. ..........and for some reason im attracted to her.

  • Feminists don't generally hate men. They're just opposed to the blatant inequalities (mostly mental or unofficial) that still exist between the sexes. Which is ridiculous in the 21st century, really.

Unless, you're joking and I just really didn't get it... :\

  • To Sheltered World Point Blank Hotel. Compare the rights and living standards of women around the world. The West, the Middle East and Asia. Now, who has the worst and who is the most progressive. I live in Australia and I am going to be voting for a state female premier soon and the deputy leader of the current federal government next election. Who I hope will be Australia's first female Prime Minister! Can this be done in any Middle Eastern countries? Yes and I am a proud male of the species.

  • Will Ms Greer be visiting any Asian or Middle Eastern countries to save the sisters there?? It would be interesting to see how long her feminst views and attitudes would last in regions of the world where they are needest most!!!!

  • whatever you say lady. ugh

  • way too much time on your hands!

  • What is Greer up to?! She really spans definition

  • Can't stop thinking of a mantis...

    Ouch!!!

  • people

  • seems very dated, could only ever come across as pretentious, but remember folks, poeple had a sense of humour way back when it was made, if Vic and Bob can dick about, why can't Germaine and chums? By the way, she was hot back then, and plenty of guys (and gals) want to snuggle up to her these days, but thats no ones business but Germaines. I think she's a darling, and soooo funny. She could out-wit all of you mean arses. Happy days.

  • Jow Lindsay has tagged you in a video.

  • Brilliant!

  • Actually, Germaine Greer was quite pretty. They meant for her to look this way...

  • i'm scared :'(

  • oh my

  • they could've used an attractive girl. that bitch is hideous.

  • I guess for some it may be difficult to tell, but she's wearing makeup.

  • pretentious twaddle

  • frankly flipping frightening but BRILLIANT acting by germaine greer!!

  • wtf but amasing filming witch makes it butifol but seriously what the fock

  • I can't believe you people don´t know who Germaine Greer was! You really need to catch up with popular culture. She popularised Feminist ideas with the publication of The Female Eunuch.

Garbage or not, at least the sixties were more creative times than the ones we are living in.

I'm not a native speaker of English, so excuse my broken English.

  • Oh my goodness - I thought they made special hospitals for these people - LOL

  • LOL

  • So this is where Amy Winehouse got the idea to look like that?

  • the grudge

  • yeah it's the lady from the grudge. lol

  • amazing

  • very artsy

  • Some women are like that. I think it's unreasonable to suggest that no woman, or any other type of person, place or thing, should be characterized in a particular way just because it may reinforce a stereotype in some people's minds. There are times when it is inappropriate to do so, but I don't think this is intended to incriminate all women.

  • you are a total idiot.

  • Scary.

  • Cher... is that you?

  • i've never been so happy to live in 2008 as i am after watching this ridiculousness.

  • Very much of its time - still complete bollocks though

  • Ahhh...acid. The drug that makes you think you're brilliant, when you're actually a moron.

  • This is brilliant.

  • This is apparently a 'parody'... given the way she's harping on that bloke, I'd say this looks more a case of

"Many a true word spoken in jest"

    Urgh - man hating cretin.

  • wooooooooooooooooow, shes my new idol <3

i love the walking down the path scene haha

  • Wierd, creepy but extremely awesome.

    :)

  • Riaker - When did you reocrd this?

  • DArling, DO you LOVE me?

  • I love this ! Very dark and sureal! I had no idea Greer did this type of thing. I wish things were as weird and experimental now as they were then. They say the acid was strong in them days.

  • majorly creepy lol

  • Excellent sixties vintage stuff!

  • creepy...

  • Andy Warhol this was really an intersting movement in art.

    Thanks for the post

  • kinda creepy

  • A little creepy to be honest

  • some how i fell bad for that guy ..... yea

  • This is amazing... but it doesn't change the fact that I am officially creeped out. :|

  • i like how expressionistic it is. lovely gestures and body marks. perhaps something got to do with desires and the uncoscious mind as well? but yeah, it kinda freaked me out with that face. :/

  • like it.....great...this is 60s art school stuff ... more more more

  • funny how a black & white screen, some opera music and some creepy ass shit is now considered art

  • this was art school stuff then... lots better than some of stuff coming from there now..ie Damien Hurst

  • wat the wtf ......jk

     creepy! veronicacakes ;D

  • ummm this wasn't entertaining, it was kind of creepy

  • creepy!

  • oh my god. i was honestly frightened watching this.

  • creepy!

  • er....no I don't...

  • omg this is scary

  • i know LOL

  • and what, exactly, is this supposed to be about? what is the point? its just ridiculous, acid-induced gibberish. i suppose if were to watch it whilst tripping, i might get it, but it is so hard to get good acid nowdays.

  • i dont care what anyone says about this era, im glad i didnt live in the 60's, people were all morons

  • looks like a Fast Show sketch... do yoooooo luv meeeeee

  • i think ist cool

  • I heard Germaine Greer was a bit of a bike in the sixties

  • it looks like a bad dream o.o

  • 3:30 I'll never get back

  • Shows a strong Bauhaus influence. Love how it's symbolic and anachronistic at the same time.

  • lmfao thats creepy

  • ugly people trying to seek attention the same way as beautiful people would basiclly lol

  • got more of a 1920s feel to it.

  • maybe i'm too thick too understand it but all i just saw was a load of (probably) drug fuelled nonsense.

  • Does anyone else think of an episode of Spaced after seeing this??

    RABBIT RABBIT RABBIT RABBIT

  • LOL! that's so true rofl!

  • Okeeeey...

  • o.O

  • Well she is a librarian type now. Except that she is thin, and still game to take the piss out of herself on occasion.

  • hellllllo

  • 1968 sucks

  • creepy, weird no imagination here

  • whats a PRE-FEMALE? Looks like a chick trying to molest a little kid or something. weird. art?

  • Erm, she wrote a famous book called "The Female Eunuch", after she did this.

  • Pre "Female Eunuch" means that this was done before Germaine wrote her famous book, the Female Eunuch.. Yeah, it's probably art. And yeah it's weird. I think the call it avant-garde.

  • i am officeially creepeed outt

  • this is freakin weird and creepy

  • this reminds me of The White Stripes' Blue Orhcid video

  • psychotic

  • Good old Germaine....she's great !

  • omg

  • just conveys the intensity of love

  • I better watch myself with my girlfriend. She might do this same sh** to me LOL.

  • Ha,ha.. this is very enlightening, and underlines the idea that it is not the female but the male that is the eunoch. Have sweet Germaine and other feminist writers been fooling us all these years, probably. Are they pleased with the world they helped create, who knows?

  • REMINDS ME OF MY EX!

  • I think I'm going to have nightmares....

  • I don't know why, but I really liked this

  • WEeeeiiiiirrdoooooo lol

  • My god, this is scary...

  • That woman always was insane!

  • freaky

  • Germaine Greer is amazing!!

This short film reminds me of the relationship between Misa and Light in Death Note lol

  • Love it!!!

Wish I was around in the 60s, so much more creative

  • this is scary as hell! :) im almost shitting myself.....

    its just insaine!

  • What a fabulous little film. thanks BFI!

  • pre-female eunuch?

  • The Female Eunuch is a book by Germaine Greer, first published in 1970, which became an international bestseller and an important text in the feminist movement....the book became almost a sacred text for the international women's liberation movement of the 1970s, notwithstanding sporadic criticism of aspects of its ideology from some feminists.

  • ...oh

  • Just, the female eunuch was published in 1970.

  • with a cute young ivor cutler perhaps?

  • I have wanted to see this for years, thank you.

  • Great!
