As a teen girl a few years ago, I fell in love with the early Genesis' music just in a minute. Extremely creative music and superb lyrics - these guys are all genious, how the hell could they wrote such songs at the age of 21-22? Just brilliant. Thank God I've found their music - it will always be with me.

Hi my most treasured possesion is a first cut copy of Twilight Alehouse, in the early 70s there was an old pub in Hanley that had this on the jukebox, every Saturday I would do my shopping at Tesco and then on my way home stop at the pub have a pint and listen to this track on the jukebox....saw it performed live too several times I was born at the best time possible for wonderful music and incredible bands!

Yes,I remember putting this on at my local drinking hole on their old juke box! There was a small hardcore group of genesis fans and I was only 17 - smitten forever!!!

Love this version! Incredibly original composition and sound. Genesis are completely unchallenged as the greatest innovators in rock music. Will music ever be so good again? I cannot see how.

Pure sheer brillance. Awesome performance by Peter and the lads. Even better than the studio one, indeed. This version is not from Paris Studios 1972. It was performed at "Top Gear" September 1972. Watcher Of The Skies and Get 'Em Out By Friday were also performed.

i am the utimate genesis freak and i can tell you that this was not from the bbc paris studios i have that gig and it does not have this track on it this particular track comes from one of the 3 sounds of the 70s gigs genesis did all 3 i have see i am the genesis master!!! ;-) 'just a drink to make me feel like a man again' great lyric

a very nice take of Twilight ale house! the BBC versions usually fantastic. bowies Starman gets a beautiful send up there. early Genesis w/ Gabriel is fANTASTIC. I remembering being constantly slagged off because I wasen't listening to Aerosmith!!!! just go home, leave me with my Syd LPs and Foxtrot
