  • you have some great stuff here

  • Heading up to a drilling job in Alberta's oil-sands. For the last 15 months I've been to 27 cities as a street performing beat boxer meeting green-peace activists on the street who make big money through sign-ups by scaring people with out-dated photo's of the tar-sands. The gift of oil is just like pot, there's always going to be someone campaigning making money by trying to stop it. Real protesters ( and corporations) use their money's actions for the worlds art project. currently its oil.

  • oil drilling must be doing massive amounts of damage. Imagine the amounts of constant pollution it must do to the ocean. This could be quite a dangerous experiement being conducted.

  • @matthfr1. FUCKING REDNECK.

  • yes Iam very interested in studing petroleum to know more about it. can somebody tell anything about the petroleum careerr jobs overseas?Because I'm in Papua New Guinea and gonna studing it next year.

  • yes keep drilling til the Earth collapses.. so much alternative (endless and clean) energy available and we still run on oil - it's laughable

  • @heartlessvietboy, do you even know what the fuck youre talking about, since when is earth the size of the moon, and we cant screw up the rotation of earth you fuckin idiot

  • drill baby dril, fuck all of you enviro fucks, try to go a week without using some form of oil. you stupid fucks would all die.that would not be a bad thing tough.

  • how can these guys sleep at knight knowing that they are constantly polluting the ocean with oil and killing marine life. These guys don't care how many sea cretures they kill in the proccess. This is gonna fuck the planet faster than a bullet. We don't need crude oil. its just getting us into bigger mess.

  • fuck that hippy shit. i love driving my muscle car. i love oil!

  • Amazing... and elsewhere the oil is so easy to get

  • I wonder how sour those old wells are from all that

  • Give me oil,oil ,oil.I need to keep feeding my two-stroke toys.

  • @Masterfilm15 oil ftw

  • The world has used 3.2 Trillion Barrels of Oil. That is a hole underneath Earth the size of 15 Lake Ontarios. Lake Ontario is 500* feet deep.

  • How come Earth is the size of the Moon Now??? Because we are mining it to the bear bone screwing its rotation.

  • I like to Fuck, Fight, N trip Pipe! ROUGH NECK TILL I DIE BABY

  • The biggest mistake was to depend on oil for energy. The problem is that Oil is a phinite rescource, while the world economy is set to keep growing. anyone see the problem here????!!!! the only reason we all live the way we do is because of oil. everything you see around you is made, or made possible in some way because of oil. the collapse is coming, it will not be pretty..

  • @235RB Crap, there are other forms of energy too, natural gas can substitute all the oil used in the transportation sector, cars were ment to drive by alc, Rockefeller involved due to electrity and light bulb which destroyed the need for "his" petroleum, after this Standard Oil became what is has been. We would use coal, hydropower, gas and of course renewable energy. We would be maybe fewer people..most oil used has been wasted anyway. USA used ~25% of oil with an 2-3% population long time.

  • @235RB and the US living standard isnt higher than in north europe (norway etc), its even higher there, still they consume less oil than the USA (per capita ofc), a single person dont need to get to the next shop for some milk with a 2500kg SUV, air con on, using nearly 20 liter on 100km. A 30 ton truck can manage sometimes with 30-35 liter on the highway I think. Oil is too cheap in the US, our european gasoline prices (8-9$/gal) would reduce the consumption rapidly in the US.

  • @KilonBerlin I know what your saying, It sees europe is ahead of the curve, especially Germany with a lot of public transportation and renewable energy. The U.S is like a stubborn kid who wont listen, until its too late.

  • @235RB

Actually Germany is heavily dependent on Russian gas (and Gazprom make sure Germany stays that way, by funding anti-nuclear activists there), and is planning to build more coal-fired power stations. It's Germany's western neighbour France which shows the way to ending fossil fuel dependence, with it big fleet of nuclear reactors.

With enough nuclear power we could also make artificial oil for transportation use -- look up Los Alamos's "Green Freedom" project.

  • below us is boiling magma, while above us are -200 degree enviorments, we live on a thin strip of livable area on earth, and we slowly wear it down.

  • @kygner great words :)

  • is it documentary ?

  • Drilling for expensive, hard to get at, oil isn't the cheap oil needed to run our society....There's no way around not lowering our standard of living unless whole other countries stop using oil so we can continue using the drug...

  • @MsPeakOil the oil will come back long after we are dead and tar pits is actually oil that spattered above ground and dried up ether way im not threatened if we run out of oil the better it will cause a reverse global warming efffect thus making the world liven and cold once again closing the hole in the atomosphere

  • fuck that shit, soon we wil reduce al oil on the planet and there wil be no cars and no fucking anything

  • @TheMrMadson1 a very smart video..a very big amount of stupid comments..noob

  • What's the name of this film and where can I get it, please? I'm looking for shows and videos about the processes involved in extracting oil and gas from our planet. Any comment regarding the matter is more than welcome and will be much appreciated! :)

  • nice video and iam like this video

  • Google The Association for the Study of Peak Oil or ASPO. Not a pretty picture but one that needs to be addressed. Some say we already reached Peak Oil in 2006. Others say it will happen within the next five years. Either way we will be grossly unprepared for it. Bush, Obama, McCain, Palin et al are too afraid to talk about this. This will mean a complete reordering of our lives as individuals and a society.

  • I think those who support drilling and deforestation think Earth is too large to be affected by it. Whether they see it or not, the environment is being damaged.

  • We just need to get some of them there fancy water runnin cars. Mhmm

  • looking for oil in Mexico... HMMMMMMMMMMMM... and Mexico are looking to sale drug in America... a fair change would you say?

  • we have natural gas in the USA, and it's frakin abundant!

Why should we spend billions to over seas to a bunch of towel heads?

we could use the billions for people!

people complain about the fraking, yet no one worry's about the Ogallala Aquifer, where people have been fraking for decades!

  • Very interesting information. Expecting lots of oil opportunities in the next year.

  • Believe in Peak Oil.

  • dont go green go black drill drill drill

  • @stinkyhat14 you forgot this one. Once you go black you never go back. drill baby drill

  • I want a radio hosts head.

  • Shut it down and clean up the mess.

  • Drilling for oil must be made against international law.

  • As a true Godly republican, I am so pleased to see that the oil that Jesus intended for us to use is now being harvested, praise Jesus. When I look at the oil covered wildlife of the gulf I see a cross high above a hill made of dollar bills. The gulf is now our private toxic waste dump just as God had intended, praise God. So what do you think folks, am I Christy enough for a Fox News job? They would pay out of the ass for a right wing wacko like this.

  • oil me up! huge dollars

  • they won't stop until they've found and sold every last drop. greedy mother fuckers ruin the world.

  • Oil, fuck yeah

  • fuck bp, all around

  • Totally insane. One acre Hemp produces, besides 1000 gallons ethanol, 300 gallons oil. If you don’t burn it, these oil containing seeds are also excellent complete food. Why doing so difficult with waisting energy to pump up this poison. All the pollution and death of life. Did people stop thinking when they opened beer bottles and switched on this propaganda screen?

  • @TerrierBram I'm an oilworker but I totally agree with you.

  • @TerrierBram your numbers are way off. hemp seed is 28% oil yielding 112# per acre. hemp seed oil weighs around 7.5# per gallon. so the correct gallons per acre would be somewhere around 15 gallons. some people are making claims to 100 gallons an acre but thats no realistic number. Im a biodiesel manufacture and have access to very accurate numbers on the oil side. as far as the ethanol goes, i dont know. i can say for sure your 1000 gallon comment is not even remotely close to actual

  • @usernametaken1932 This data comes from Paul Stanford (THCF) and Jack Herer. i will contact the people from Hanf Haus and Hanf Natur. Those Germans always no where to collect quality data. Remember that different Cannabis breeds make different size colas.

Hemp produces at least 5 times more bio mass per acre than it’s closest competitors, like sugar cane and corn. This is also determined at Cornell university, among other institutes. Now is the question how much ethanol you can get out of this.

  • @TerrierBram anything being farmed in a field is bad for society. all crop values ride on corn as its a staple for life in america. corn is feed for all animals, refined into food, ect. majority of ethanol is from corn in usa... this is not the answer. now value of corn is thruogh the roof. animals eat corn doubling the cost of meat and dairy.. bread has tripled in the past 8 years. it get a lot more complicated than this to explain here, but algae is the answer. long way down the road

  • @usernametaken1932 What I can find back so far is that an acre 39 gallons per acre. This difference in number much have something to do with the soil, strain and way of processing.I googled on hemp oil yield.

  • @TerrierBram there is an unreal amount of bias info on the net. many are making ridiculous claims to many different ags. under PERFECT conditions you may get up to 39 gallon/acre. its my job to buy and produce with the most economic feedstock i can find. under common condition the soy bean is 49 gallons/acre, peanut 113gallons/acre, rapeseed 127gallons/acre. none of these are longterm. algae is the wave of the future. long way for it to go though.

  • @usernametaken1932 Well I believe algae too. Hemp oil and Hemp seeds are primarily excellent food for humans, chickens and fish.Fish and birds love them. No wonder, the stuff contains all essential amino acids for humans, omega 3, 6, 9 fatty acids in good quantities, vit. D,E, magnesium, calcium. Advantage of Hemp is that is grows almost anywhere, no need to transport stuff long distances. Same is true for algae. Part of the solution is to get rid of this globalism.

  • @TerrierBram I wouldnt mind if we switched to hemp or something cleaner either. But unless your career involves researching the issue so we can change government policy, or engineering the technology and infrastructure we need for renewable power, then you arent helping the cause. Don't just sit there on your ass complaining about something that you are benefiting from.

  • @TerrierBram

wrong,if that was the case, oil company's would still get the oil,and over charge you any ways.

  • very inefficient. How about using solvent?

  • here is the well they drilled 5 miles! HAHHA

  • 81 trillion BTUs is a ridiculous amount of energy. This is insane. Especially now that BP is spewing 42 million gallons of oil throughout the Gulf of Mexico .

  • enough energy per day for a airconditioner for every person on the planet. 1) wow. but 2) going non-stop? or for how long? 5 minutes? 1 second?

  • if i wanna learn oil drilling, where i can to that and how much it costs?

  • theres gotta be another way to use oil not that jet black oil

  • All oil dispersants will remove all of your skin in five minutes & then work on the FLESH!

All creatures swimming through this nightmare will die within 90% certainty!

We R being lied to & I can prove this!

43,000,000 gallons of oil per day are being pumped out of that hole at only 500 psi.

    Fluid dynamics does not lie!

    Area { x } PRESSURE { = } VOLUME

My video and I will prove this to you in five minutes ~ & the 44th POTUS IS lying & his ears are growing by the minute

  • Like carbon dioxide emissions from tail pipes, drilling below Earth is very polluting.

  • Oboma say he hates offshore drilling but he sent millions of tax payers money to another country to offshore drill why he hates Americans that's why he wont do it here it will help americans it will give jobs and stop alot of Americans depending on another country for oil.

  • drill baby drill

  • Click on my title for my musical comment.!!!!

  • If you see the poor oppressed in a district, and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things; for one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still

    fucking dirty loser in america---

  • lol 'canadians are american too': Then why are they called Canadians? Or do you just consider Canada America's 51st state, with a controlled border?

  • take the bus!!

  • why the fuck is it only 3 minutes long.....

  • every corner of the globe? i didnt know the globe had corners! xD

  • Where's the rest of the video!?

  • what he said!!

  • I hope America controls all the oil fields soon.. or I won't be able to fill up my F-350 every 2 days :(

  • everyone thinks this is amazing?

    well good, amazingly disguisting.

plant biomass energy versus petroleum profetierrrs

  • I love reading comments from enlightened people about how evil our lifestyle is. Yet they use more energy and resources than I do. I will use all the damned oil I want. Drill baby drill. I would drill through a polar bear's head to get oil!

  • instead of drilling from the ocean surface, why not just create whole chemical plants on the ocean floor? especially near geothermal hotspots :)

  • Dude, are you fuckin serious? What are you like 10?

  • @poncethegreat169 Vision of a fuckin bat you no good vulgar toungued cumstain. Your ideas are ridiculous, even a year later, fuckin kid.

  • You are all hilarious. When are we going to tax those republican volcanoes for spewing greenhouse gases into "OUR" atmosphere?

  • Who's Living on EARTH and using HER energy ?? Yet still complaining how she spewing greenhouse gases into HER atmosphere ??? SHE been doing that since few billions years ago .

Learn your Geography and get a correct mind-set !! Silly selfish human ( You , howlinblowfish )

  • When they say that oil has a good energy in energy out ratio does that include all of the energy that it takes to heat the ground so the oil will flow. We should just use the natural gas that they use for our cars. I know that it doesn't have the btu of gasoline but it wouldn't be wasted and save on importing so much.

  • where can i watch the full episode

  • Where can I get this full episode? I would like to watch it.

  • Money=power. He who has the money and owns the resources controls our dependency on the resource. It's simple really. In the 80's someone came up with a hydrogen car but the powers that be bought the rights so that they could continue milking the oil resource dry. Its no mystery. If we can put a space ship on the moon, we dont need oil. If you owned the oil would you leave billions on the table & walk away? Not unless you'd put your hand on a table and smash it with a hammer.

  • 7 million years? 7 million years of history and nature gone into our fuel tanks. "One retard threw an expensive ring into a well, 100 geniuses didn't find a way to get it out". We humans, are the retards in this situation, how could we be doing this? We are a disease, a virus, to ourselves, to earth and every thing else on earth.

  • Fucking oil companies. Its them and the government who don't let products that are energy efficient (and good for the environment) grow, because they don't earn any money out of it. How do governments of these countries call themselves a democracy which is a government for the people by the people. The people of most countries want a greener future but the fucking government, OUR OWN GOVERNMENT, is in the way! And other big businesses of course.

  • Individual action is important but it's not enough, I hope we are doing enough on the national international level to reduce CO2 so that the people and especially the animals have a decent home (it's too late for many of the animals)

  • well, you can get alternatives on Ebay for cheap and that is where all the cutting edge stuff is

I just bought two LED bulbs and they came with free shipping and handling

LED bulbs last 50,000 hours or 25 Years

and they don't have UV so they don't attract bugs

this is what I call living the good life

  • theres tons of ways to have renwable energy well thats great but where are they now we can dream about the future all we want but don't forget that we live now not tommorow so i say keep drilling until these new methods of heating and transportion become efficent and reliable

  • we dont need oil. we have hemp....u morons. you fucking morons.

  • so what are we gonna do when the oil runs out?

  • Then the government will be forced to stop not letting the green companies grow, the green companies will then grow and we will be perfectly perfect and mother nature will be happier. So don't feel to bad, we humans have found a way around any thing. Thats not necessarily a good thing.

  • 0:59 "In Alaska BP hopes that a similar technique will help save Prudhoe Bay". -- with being "saved" like that who needs destruction?

  • I'm from texas and am willing to be a roughneck anywhere. I have no experience but I really really want to do it. Please anyone let me know if I could get a chance, Thanks.

  • alienincognito (3 weeks ago) your unreal another ego driven driller thats pretends drilling a well is a science, i find it laughable that you think your special i bet your canadian wanker

  • Drilling wells is very much a science. There's an incredible amount of science that goes into just deciding WHERE to drill, how deep, which direction, etc.

  • and watch for gas pockets

  • WAZZZZZZZZ TAT IN BAKERSFIELDS

  • Comment removed

  • Can't wait to become a geologist, such a fasinating occupation.

  • im studying geology aswell. just thought id say haha. i cant wait to get out in the field aswel.

  • paper plants

  • Hyrdogen cars run on hydrogen (H2). The produce H2O.

There are two problems with hydrogen cars are (1) hydrogen is very explosive (ever heard of the Hindenburg) and (2) were do you get the energy to produce the hydrogen.

  • greedy mother fucking companies..they are destroying our planet!!dont they relaise that?

  • The only way you could exclude yourself from being part of the problem is being dead. Educate yourself if you want to make a difference.

  • hmm, could that steam somehow cause fire down there? just wandering

  • steam is water in gas form, so can't sause fire, no.

it'll be able to but out fire in some cases, but it can cause burns as well.

  • Technically hot stream could cause something to catch fire, it just depends on its properties (flash point). However, they've obviously thought about it and heavy oil would have a high flash point.

  • there is no air in the well bore..... can't have fire without air

  • Got me there! But in reply to the first comment, just because stream is water doesn't mean it won't ignite something if its hot enough!

  • You need a oxidizer. fuel+oxygen+heat =flame. Steam might be 240*F. Paper ignights @ 450*F.

  • water boils at 100 *C...pressurized to 100psi, water will boil at 170*C..that extra heat is called latent heat...in order to effectively use steam injection for oil production you would need to use a pressurized system....changing the properties of everything involved in the process....so technically you won't start a fire...all production equipment for steam injection is usually above par!!

  • What will we do wen it runs out?

  • before that happends humans are gonna disappear...

  • check out the documentary "A crude impact"

  • Ok. Sure.

  • the world's largest deposits occur in two countries: Canada and Venezuela, both of which have oil sands reserves approximately equal to the world's total reserves of conventional crude oil. Who would have thought that would produce malapert jerks like 543847206, don't curse America with your pocket full of money.

  • Is'nt Canada a 3rd world country like Mexico, you all could'nt drill a well if you had to up there

  • third world?? we had to come south to show your oilworkers how to drill a well!!

  • BTW you are very welcome for all of the protection the USA provides for your pathetic excuse for a country. Second off, you brag about Canada being all high tech yet you have no major players like Exxon but you do have worthless energy trusts. As for not being able to drill for oil and gas you apparently have never heard about the Gulf of Mexico huh? The US has many deep water projects there that blow the Canadian GDP out of water. Isn't it sad that Exxon could buy your worthless Canada?

  • @543847206

Just so you know, Canadians are "American" too, you fucking loud mouth idiot. Go drink some more anti-US koolaide, ok?

  • @543847206 but america protects you canucks from all other countries that could rape your country. maybe you could share some more of that good oil tech. at least some of you guys appreciate the fact that us americans are at least good at invading countries, drop bombs/shoot missles, and....you know talk loud with YOU big mouths too

  • @543847206 Ok, idiot, since we wouldn't 'know our ass from a hole in the ground' places like Texas, Alaska and Pennsylvania (location of the FIRST OIL WELL IN THE WORLD 1859) don't count. But then since you're a damn super genius you were born knowing that the first EOR was in California and without Perot's rotary bit, Canada would not have well ONE.

  • I'm an Americans and I disagree with a lot of our right wing policies...but don't attribute Bush tactics to me and another 140 million Americans.

  • @dalecampbl6 fuckin weak ass left wing liberal democrat

  • @mphof74 if you wanna go die in Iraq, you can do it right, I'm sure the military loves to have you...so get off your ass and go be a hero, and all the same time realize that you are achieving NOTHING!!!!

  • @dalecampbl6 im not 18 DUMB FUCK!

  • fucken dumb ass right wing republican who can't even find'em WMDs...at least I'm smart enough to not 3 trillion dollars going looking for something that ain't there

  • @dalecampbl6 I'm American, was not a fan of Bush but do think he put country first and did his best, versus the baffoon we have now who puts country last and his personal agenda first in everything. He is a complete disgrace. I did not vote for him (or McCain), but sincerely hoped he would be productive. Instead, we got an angry black man who is racist, hates corporations (likes to sue them in his prior career), hates our military, and overall is a non-issue. His response to the spill - terrible

  • @TheMiseryGuts i think before you judge obama like this, you should try to put yourself in his shoes, that's all I gotta say

  • @dalecampbl6 Did you not elect him? Twice?

  • i wasn't old enough to vote the first time around...second time I hell no didn't vote GWBush...didnt vote McCain either

  • @dalecampbl6

So that means you voted for the Idiot in Chief Barrack Hussein Obama?

  • anyone compared to "WMD is everywhere in Iraq and Mission Accomplished" GW Bush is a genius.

  • @543847206 well, now I know not to come to canada because it seems like all you people can do is bitch about America and Americans and tell us what we should be doing. God you are an ignorant ass attacking a whole rather than getting down to it and seeing what the real problem is you damn maple syrup suckin sap

  • @Bojoe777NaBl : "543847206" is australian, not canadian.

  • @Bojoe777NaBl We own your resources so we hold higher Cards therefore I suggest you shut your goddamned mouth.

  • @SniperViper1000 lmfao, ok we will remember to tell the rusians to invade u first since it would be more beneficial... you canadians are soo funny, now go spend your toonies and suck some maple syrup. OMG yea i went there O.o

  • @543847206 We don't need steam dickweed, because we have sense enough to live where it isn't freezing 10 months out of the year.

  • @543847206 Your jealousy of the USA is so obvious......hater

  • @543847206 well said!

  • So now we know why the price of natural gas is so high

  • ther lyers why drill more when they are cutting back on production now because they arent making enough money at 46 usdollars

148 to 44 ITS ALL FINANCIAL SPECULATION FROM WALLSTREET

THERES ENOUGH OIL FOR EVERYONE ITS JUST GREED KEEPING PICES HIGH FUCKERS

  • Great Video and Information, Thanks

  • Free electricity, what you say? Well its true can be done well damn near free. You say when 10, 20 years no 100 years ago.Laughing at me now saying what a nut.Seriously though 100 years ago Nikoli Tesla created wardencliff tower google it please or you tube it.Lets get something started!Hydrogen everywhere no need for nuclear, also zero point energy possible.if done right no greenhouse gases. Why dont we do this because greedy oil industry, and politicians wont make as much.

  • To find high paying oil drilling jobs visit: oilcareer com

  • They should say that those rock are 7 million years old when they don't know that. Science doesn't know how old the earth is. There isn't any proof. These people are stupid.

  • You are stupid......there is something called "CARBON DATING".....look it up.....stupid!

  • You're so stupid. Everyone now knows that "carbon dating" doesn't work. The same science people that thought this was great don't even really use it anymore because it doesn't work.

    Read.

  • Umm, what do forensic scientists use for investigating crimes? You don't need a book for common sense. Just pay attention.

    'Science people'....???

  • those scientists use methods that can be prooven. duh, read more.

  • Wtf are you talking about? Did you even read my comment? You must be drunk because even retarded individuals know about carbon dating.

All I'm saying is, if you think Carbon Dating doesn't work, then I'm not the one that needs to pick up a book. Put down that beer and pick up a book. You can learn this is any basic Geology course. Stop playing beer pong and PAY ATTENTION in class!!

  • If you think everything you learn in a "class" is true, you are a foolish person.

  • Your earlier comment about 'common knowledge' shows a clear misunderstanding of the subject and it would be in your best interest not to post.

Scientists DO know how old the earth is, and have attained more information through carbon dating and other techniques you've probably never heard of.

"The same science people that thought this was great don't even really use it anymore because it doesn't work." Where do I begin with what's wrong with your comment.. doesn't matter cause you're blocked.
