whatever SBtB bigwig greenlit an episode with the majority of the jokes coming from a caucasian person awkwardly apologizing to an african american person for having ancestors in the slave trade probably didnt have a job much after giving that go ahead.
3:49 "oh just say you hate me and release those centuries of repressed anger."
@justinasb Which table are you referring too? The one they are sitting at? Because there is only 1 bottle there, and it's reflecting at certain angles in the napkin holder. This makes it look like there are two. Unless you're talking about another table?
Meh. Why did they have to make Lisa's ancestors American slaves? How typical. The black character never knows [specifically] where her ancestor's came from because their people were slaves.
They couldn't try to be a little original; have Lisa be from the Caribbean, like Jamaican or something?
@thefloacist i totally agree the person dat put thumbs down obviously doesnt understand about black culture and that not every black person was a slave like some caribbean countries
When I first watched this episode, I was living on the navajo reservation-where I grew up, where I lived until i was 15.
Yeah, its offensive-but pretty much what I expect from people who have never been on a reservation before. People don't know shit about natives...even if they pretend to they don't. But I do like that Saved By The Bell tried.
They definitely don't say "How" and shit like that-and cultures differ drastically depending on the tribe.
THANKYOU. I was thinking the exact same thing. and I hate how he kept referring to him as an "Indian" instead of Native North American or Aboriginal. I love this show.. but that made me quite upset.
Absolutely, Abc. After all, it's just like the famous old saying: "If you don't learn from the past, you're doomed to the future." So from watching this episode, Zack was asking himself a big question: "Am I less of a person now than I thought I was, or am I more??"

Lisa seems fine with the idea of Jessie's ancestors being slave traders but the black girl in the back is all 'HELL NO!'

It pisses me off that Jessie is judging Slater's ancestors but her's were not exactly wonderful people. She acts open minded but she judges everyone!

-Plays football
-Wrestles
-Plays basketball
-Plays baseball
& he runs track.
wtf? thats like 2 sports in every season except the fall!

Zack's presentation is unbelievably offensive to his ancestors. Screech's Native American impersonation is more caveman-like.

i think that was the point. zack didn' t know about it and didn't respect the culture he knew nothing about. in the end, i think he learns respect.
