  • ha keiner deutsch hihi

  • gonna play ff8 again after hear this

  • wow gives me goosebumps when i heard this, i miss playing ff8

  • epic @ 1:48

gives me the goosebumps..i really wish i could be there..

  • The contrast between the choir and the flute girl breaks my heart at 3:24, which was already ripped and cracked since 2:01.

  • Holy shit when the flute starts, so much tears !

  • look at that bassoon playerr hahahaha 2:10 (actually i dunno what's the different between bassoon and clarinet etc hahaha x_x)

    but well, overall,

    I'm totally amazed! (y)

    4 thumbs up =DD

  • Oh my, I'm getting all choked up over this! Such a perfect version of one of my favorite songs!

  • best part 1:48...

  • This song deserves a Oscar

  • The only memories of my childhood is of me watching the man fishing while standing in front of my Ragnarok. :(

  • For all japanese, open your eyes. this is YOUR national treasure. keep it well.

  • Great! I have listened to this music in Japanese TV program and I was so happy to know everyone in my room was surprised that this is from a game music!

  • simplemente perfecto... Dios esta musica me hace recordar tantas cosas...

  • FF 8>>7>>>>10

  • damn! it's just perfect.. i love this song

  • this is magic

  • i hate fucking rpgs, everything in them is black or white unlike real world. If u make friends their flaws are different believes not the fact all they want to do is drink and take drugs and their brains are malfunctioning

  • @TheAwexome

Someone's never played Fable... Also, try and structure a game around grey moral areas. Games need black and white morals in order to function.

  • kinda sound like disney, magic and happiness

  • This sounds like what Brian Wilson was going for -- symphonies to God. Uematsu has the same idea.

  • Sometimes I think about if I was trapped in a game world forever, which game would I pick?

    FF 8. No doubt.

  • soooooo magical

  • Omg... I love it...

  • hermoso

    si alguna vez me caso

pondre esta cancion como marcha nupcial

  • @canon6 Si tu novi@ te deja claro está xD.

  • @jjvisual92 buen punto . debe ser igual de Friki que yo, aunque esto no es para frikis hay que saber de musica nada mas :D

  • 3:21

If you pay attention to her solo really closely you can just faintly see at the end of it how she smiles. Just look at her eyes and how her dimples get deeper. Beautiful music and contributing to it will always make that happen.

  • @tiraivysexy i dont play those instrument, but i play a little trumpet...and when it is kind of the same technique those "smile" is part of the playing technique (sry, don´t find the right word, not english) :)

  • 1:48 gets me everytime....

  • I am shocked that this video and Liberi Fatali respectively doesn't have at least over half the views of "At Zanarkand - Tour de Japon". I kinda feel bad for the ones that doesn't get the pureness of this song, for this - this is music.

  • FF8 is the best game ive ever played. such an immersive storyline with characters you can really connect with on an emotional level. love it!

  • 4 people never won back the ifrit card...

  • @linkypinky987 hahahha

  • @linkypinky987 lmao!

  • impeccable....

  • Wow this made me cry.

  • is it because i'm drunk right now or because of the music, but i'm kinda melting. Maybe both, but this song is still awesome!

  • one word "superb"

  • This music is my joy and my tears.

  • Love this game and its music, still play it and love the story the gameplay and the characters who are in it, how nice it would be if they remade it with everything the same except the graphics that would be state of the art i think itll be a best seller again xD

  • I think its extremely boring until you start dealin with Edea.

Then it's the most epic game ever!

  • I think I just got tears in my eyes

  • @pineapplepeanuts same,i so wish i could live stuck in one of these games forever..

  • This is really really nice... Still I actually prefer the intimacy of the original recording.

  • woohooo card game?

  • @henyow Lets play!!

    tadadada tata ta tataaa!!

  • @TheVanessaBelen are you playing Call of Duty?? :D sound like a machine gun, or FF8 - Laguna's part??

  • @henyow ??

  • i like this so much!

  • only the best music for the best Final Fantasy of all time. The music and story is what moves people tears. THIS is an example of such.

  • I would like to think that the world could better from art like this. This, and all of Uematsu's work should be played throughout the globe once a year. It will stop all wars and he'll get a nobel peace prize. Does anyone else here feel sad (bittersweet) that they can see and hear the beautiful worlds that his music creates but will never get to be in them? oh well

  • @areznaroque You kidding? Fisherman's Horizon gets smashed to hell, I'd like to live far away from there. ;)

  • @jarkle it gets smashed just a little ;)

  • @areznaroque why do you long for a world that is already here??? Nobuo Uematsu takes us to these worlds with his music. We're already there when we listen to it. There is nothing to be sad about, and everything to be grateful for :)

  • @JonMichael1087 Grateful, yes, but I must differ from your 'world is already here' comment. As you said, Uematsu's music takes us to these worlds. His work transports us into realms created from our imagination which will always be perfect (hence why books are usually better than the movies made about them). This world has it's perks and its own beauty and imperfections and we can't get to the worlds he alludes to. Well, maybe not yet ;) hahah.

  • @areznaroque What I'm saying is that the moment that we imagine it, we are there. There's no where else to go, for our imagination has given us flight. A craving for anything more forsakes the beautiful sensation that we've been given in the moment, and will leave us with an emptiness. No more longing. Just witnessing, being. There in that acceptance and serenity we will find, quite ironically, the beauty we were always yearning for. P.S. meditation is the shit

  • @areznaroque every day

  • @areznaroque the very sad reason why people will never hear this is because he is doing orchestra and that his mosic is related to game-music. that is the reason why he will never be aknowleged which i think is very sad.

  • Magnifico, gracias por sugirió

  • 4 people don't understand real music...

  • Almost as good as in the flwv album, where the studio makes the sound so crisp. @ 3:12 it just blows me away everytime I listen to it, but here the instruments get in the way of the voices, still freaking amazing!

  • DANG I almost shed a little tear after listening to this piece. They come to Chicago this June! I wouldn't miss it for the world.

  • @pinot223 You're so lucky that you're getting a chance to see a once in a life time performance like this. I live in Canada, and I really want to see a production like this before I die.

  • 4 people deserves to die D:

  • @Filenzelot oh no death is a peaceful to them they are just justin beiber fans so dont get that mad

it's bad enough for them to be a fan of a gay boy who talks about love in the age of 10 year old

  • My heart moves...

  • Too good.

  • if i had bill gate's money i would spend all my remaining life paying them to play the best game/flick themes all the time

  • @TheAwexome awsome idea!!!

  • So fucking beautiful...ughh

  • it's cool to hear the childish video game music that we use to play be listened to by adults in full concerts

  • @teizle1 it's not the music that was childish, it was the hardware that couldn't handle better, LOL! I remmember the computer version even with the sucking midi like sound still took up 5 cds!! But Nobuo's music is outstanding! I used to buy cds of the orchestrated versions every time so I could really apreciate them! =D

  • Too beautiful to describe...If I was at this concert with the girl I love, then I wouldnt want anything else.

  • THANK YOU NOBUO

  • The 5 people that don't like it have never been fishing.

  • word simply can't describe how beautiful this song and performance truly is.

  • it would be my dream to watch this live with my wife since we both loved the game which was a huge part of our childhood...if only

  • OH MY F. GOD! This is so touching... Since i was a child i used to listen FF music... t Brings me back a lot of memories and a little bit of sadness cause we are growing up... But if u listen this songs again... The memories will come back again sharing one or two tears...

  • OH MY F. GOD! This is so touching... Since i was a child i used to listen FF music... t Brings me back a lot of memories and a little bit of sadness cause we are growing up... But if u listen this songs again... The memories will come back again sharing one or two tears...

  • this song has shaped my childhood. thx to Nobuo Uematsu.

  • FF8 has the best music in the series then its FF 7. 8 is KING so many classics.

  • I hope they would still have Final Fantasy concerts so that i could watch it someday...if i'm going to travel Japan ^^ or even before getting married

  • It`s the best sound that my ear could hear...

  • this song...only the Japanese could create and share something this epic...i like orchestrated music... but most mainstram sounds the same and it sounds almost.....European. the Japanese have a way of making it emotional and it has its own unique sound to it...i love the way the remasterd it...truly worthy of the title Legendary

  • @TheUnforgivingOne

    ...what a weeaboo

  • omg that was the best version of this

i have ever hear ...and your right it makes you wanna tear but you dont...you get goosebumps and just stare ...thinking of them times we all played and loved the music from these games...stopping in a town for like 2 hrs to hear one song ^_^ i miss that so much

  • hermoso

  • 5 ppl must be forgot to turn on their speaker.

  • @D2der2333

they must have pressed the wrong button~

  • This song is totally ue o muite arukoo/sukiyaki by Kyu Sakamoto from 0:34

Compare it - you probably already know the song.

  • no matter where i am. no matter what i'm doing. when i listen to this my eyes close, and i'm home. i could die after hearing this and be sure i'll be happy for eternity

  • @flaminfranky I must agree with you, franky, entirely... Next to Aeris' theme, this one makes me dream and crave of a home I'll never get to go to. Not for a very long time.

  • EVERYONE should see these concerts. I love modern music but there's something magical about orchestras... just incredible, no ipod speaker setup can ever reproduce it.

  • oh... the apple in my throat

  • This version of the song is so chill and nostalgic.

    I freaking love it.

  • A few centuries from now, I firmly believe that Uematsu's pieces will be studied and appreciated music classes to the same degree as the likes of Chopin/Beethoven etc.

Theme of Love has already made it to Japanese music textbooks currently. It's a matter of time.

  • Fisherman Horizon....

One of the best pieces ever played in video game history..

A piece that fills your heart to full admist desire and leave a trace of hope and

serenity..A soothing piece, which makes you forget the real world and enter the world of final fantasy... A fantasy that cannot end.

  • this bring out a lot of memories

  • I like how they drag out some parts of the real song for a bit of effect. It's really nice

  • Fantastic.

  • Fisherman's horizon hit me well with that song when I first visited the town. Amazing song.

  • This touched me. I mean it really touched me like the original did.

  • incredible.

  • EPIC WIN!

  • fantastic

  • I would love to see an concert of this!!

  • so beautiful.. all the good memories i had with FF8 are back :°)

  • I love this sooooo much.. :D

  • so what if a high school band could play it?

They would definitely not play it too this standard.

  • a high school band could play this? please tell me what high school you're talking about, i would have killed to have been able to there for this!

this doesn't feel overdone, it's just different from the original.

  • i feel such peaceful in this song, and it says for me that every painful we encounter in life has a time for heal....great and magnificent songs

  • Only Japanese games have such beautiful music...

  • i think i just pooed my pants!

  • inspirational music at it's best... ;)

  • Was better than the original version :)

  • I think music like this needs to be broadcasted more instead of any stupid conventional music they throw in our radios daily.

  • @inexplicable01 its a bit one sided to think like that.

However radio music always has been radio music like... I do agree that today it seems like we have ran out of ideas for creativity.

Also you have orchestral stations there somewhere im sure : ]

  • i reminisce on the fact that FF8 was my first and this is one of the first favorite tracks i memorized

  • I dedicate this piece of music to Liam =) x x

  • it's such a lovely song. the way it gives a feeling that you cannot explain when you hear it but still you know that you don't want to let go of that emotion that you feel when you hear this music. How I wish that it could be performed here in the philippines. The song paints you a picture of a beautiful scenery where there is peace of mind. It is more than euphoric if there's such a word. Very beautiful song. This music might actually inspire someone amidst the calamities happening here. :D

  • best ffviii song

  • actually the couple that ran it were a bit annoying werent they

  • Definately annoying. Loved Zell saying 'That old geeza pissed me off!' Someone had to say it.

  • I want to retire to Fisherman horizon

  • This is the power of music in it's rawest form. This performance fills you up with this temporary feeling of euphoria. Its also very emotional but in a positive way. Get you to the point of tears, but not to where you shed them either.

  • agreed

  • @jgstrider couldn't add a word! =D

  • There it is, one of the most beautifully performed pieces of gaming music. Each and every time I hear and feel this, I hear and feel so many different emotions at once, and just for a moment, all the troubles of the world seem to slip into nothingness and all that is left is a feeling of unexplainable warmth and a slight chill that just causes you to feel so alive.

  • no other words but simply beautiful......it moves me down to my very soul

  • geez, i want to see them having a concert here in the Philippines. well i guess they don't know that this game is very popular here

  • I know. Maybe we don't get noticed cause we live in a run-down, third world country. BOOO.

Heeeey, maybe we can make a petition to have some sort of an FF concert here or whatever and have every Pinoy fan sign it.:D You with me?

  • PINOY FAN SIGN? HELL YEAH!!!!!!!! well it's time for rest of the pinoys to recognize the video game music industry. you see they only thinking that the video game ARE ONLY FOR THE KIDS. WELL THEN, HOW CAN I HELP YOU?

  • or maybe you can have a local orchestra, like say the san miguel philharmonic or the manila philharmonic to perform the pieces. so long as they are able to get the arrangements, i'm sure they'll be able to do a good job. we have very talented musicians here as well, not to mention talented composers and arrangers :)

  • Good idea, but then again, will the Manila or San Miguel Philharmonic even agree to perform them? Gaming, with the exception of DoTA (*gag* no offense), is still largely an underground thing here.:( And Pinoys who do follow Final Fantasy are mostly adolescents and young kids who really don't have much money to pay for pricey concert tickets.

Oh well. I won't lose hope, goddamit. HAHA. If all else fails I'mma troop on over to wherever Uematsu's next concert will be.

  • Do you think the orchestras might be more open with the music suggested just as music, without making a point of the fact that it is gaming music? Simply "Here's an awesome suggestion for some music".

  • there are a lot of talented musicians here in the Philippines. And you cannot deny the fact that most adolescents know or learn how to play a musical instrument. Why not gather them up and make them perform? All they need is practice so let them learn these pieces and let them perform. It is good in the sense that mostly teenagers play this game and they may as well be willing to pay this concert because at least its a fellow teenager that is playing these musical pieces. Just an idea

  • i wish i can go to these concerts before i die and watch it with someone i love beside me.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah me too...it's like one of those things that is pure brilliance and talent...:]

  • Total Win Comment.

  • @dkblade27 Lol, how emo...

    ...But I totally agree.

  • @PhoenixFhire

man. this song and performance makes the toughest of men emo lol

  • @dkblade27 your an ass for saying that.... because i completely agree... took the words straight out of my mouth,

  • @dkblade27 I already did.

  • @JoeCaliforniah

congrats. i wish they had these performances elsewhere too.

  • @dkblade27 but 2 months later i decided to date rape her.

  • i like this one even better than the original one, i guess..

  • thats it! im playing some FFVIII!

  • FFVIII best FF out there.

  • Omg. What is this feeling? I'm feeling a bit emotional right now.

  • It's so rare to find music of this caliber, and the fact that it was put in a game with such a powerful story just amplifies both.

  • I think FF8 has one of the best soundtracks of any game ever made

  • Hell, it has one of the best soundtracks ever, movies game, tv shows whatever.

  • @Kenoran movies and TV shows couldnt compare at all....infact i watched a show a few years back that had dirge of Cerebues music in it

  • Stunning, beautiful, words just can't touch it. I would kill to go to one of these concerts

  • i cried when i first heard this, i can't forget ff8

  • there's something in my throat....

  • my eyes got watery lol i love this song..

  • WOW........ im getting goosebumps! My heart just melts listening to this song...

  • Uematsu is amazing. It's incredible to think that one man has created so much beauty.

  • I agree completely

  • On A Peaceful Sunday The Sun Going Down ,Seagulls Flying ,Listening to the waves ,Breezy Fresh Air From The Beach Fishing On the Horizon

FFVIII HAS THE BEST SOUNDTRACK AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST AND MY FAVORITE

    FFVII IS SECOND

  • true

  • agree

  • wow. im just very glad someone else has the same thoughts and feelings like me.

that would be a dream to one day live in a peaceful place like that.

  • u're not the only one =D cheers
