I am an animals rights activist and have been one for about 2 years now. Animals are beautiful and dont need to be treated the way that they are being treated. If you look closely in this video, the animals are put in tightly confined spaces ( 0:40) and are treated horribly. Honestly, i cant imagine someone treating animals like this, they must not care. i am discusted by these people and they need a life!

@lmh7015 Don't mean to debate but the animal fur has a unique quality of absorbing cold and emiting heat. No other synthetic materials could match the natural animal hide or hair in that department. Maybe you can compromise by allowing to take the fur after the animal dies of natural causes.

I wish I was allowed to rate your video with hundreds of stars. There are so many people who just have NO CLUE what goes on, and what is still going on, which supposedly had been stopped (ie, animal poaching in general, along with raising animals just for their fur.) It's a human discrace! But what is even worse, is the lack of governmental control to protect these animals.
i really do not see a point in stopping people from doing this. People have worn fur for ever so why should it stop now. i mean i don't like when they keep them in cages but hunting and trapping for fur should be ok. I live in an area were there is an over population of coyote and people hunt and trap them, this has in some ways helped the coyotes by reducing over population it cuts down on mainge ( that may be spelled wrong?) which is something i would not wish on any animal.
You are talking about two completely different issues. I don't think that many people here are trapping overabundant coyotes, forcing them to live in squalid, caged conditions, and then electrocuting or skinning them alive. If someone is going to kill a dear and then eat its meat and use its fur, then alright, that's one less deer to hit on the road or that will starve to death. These facilities are cruel, it's no where near the same as hunting overpopulated game.

P.S. animals farmed for meat can be given enrichment and high quality feed and farmers can still make a profit. This is not possible for fur farmers- its not economically viable to provide larger cages because they need to farm them in huge numbers, sometimes 100 animals have to live for 6-8 months just for 1 coat.
Its much easier to stop wearing fur than it is to stop eating meat. Killing animals for meat does not justify killing them for fur.
Some people have said we eat meat so why not kill animals for fur..I think you'l find that animal welfare laws for animals raised and killed for meat are much higher than for fur farm animals. You can pay more for meat farmed in a higher welfare standard- you cant do that for fur.
Also, animals kept for meat are domesticated, animals kept for fur are not, hence they suffer more stress in the captive environment.
Those aren't just stray cats and dogs. You ever have a pet run away before and never return? Who's to say that those strays weren't once someone's beloved and well-cared for companion? I'm sure you'd be whistling a different tune if it was YOUR pet that was kidnapped and skinned alive.

Faux fur is a great and cheap invention... except that it's even cheaper for some exporters to catch and skin loose pets and stray animals than to make the faux fur. Many of the "faux" fur trimmings being used by designers today are still from real animals.

@lmh7015 Don't mean to debate but the animal fur has a unique quality of absorbing cold and emiting heat. No other synthetic materials could match the natural animal hide or hair in that department. Maybe you can compromise by allowing to take the fur after the animal dies of natural causes.

My goodness this is horrible! How can we call ourselves human beings when we treat the most innocent of creatures so atrociously?
It's horrible, and as a person who believes in love and compassion for everyone, animals included, this is terrible. Which is why I recently joined the HSUS and donated money for their wonderful efforts.
Going vegan is the next step on my way to promoting animal welfare and protection.
Not there yet, but I will be and I know that can make all the difference!

There are so many people who just have NO CLUE what goes on, and what is still going on, which supposedly had been stopped (ie, animal poaching in general, along with raising animals just for their fur.) i really do not see a point in stopping people from doing this. People have worn fur for ever so why should it stop now. i mean i don't like when they keep them in cages but hunting and trapping for fur should be ok. I live in an area were there is an over population of coyote and people hunt and trap them, this has in some ways helped the coyotes by reducing over population it cuts down on mainge ( that may be spelled wrong?) which is something i would not wish on any animal.

You are talking about two completely different issues. I don't think that many people here are trapping overabundant coyotes, forcing them to live in squalid, caged conditions, and then electrocuting or skinning them alive. If someone is going to kill a dear and then eat its meat and use its fur, then alright, that's one less deer to hit on the road or that will starve to death. These facilities are cruel, it's no where near the same as hunting overpopulated game.

You can try all types of education etc. to stop fur but the only TRUE way to stop it is to throw ink or stain on anyone you ever see wearing fur. RUIN the fur and people will stop buying them. You cant change the mind of a heartless cruel person, but you can hit them in the pocketbook.

P.S. animals farmed for meat can be given enrichment and high quality feed and farmers can still make a profit. This is not possible for fur farmers- its not economically viable to provide larger cages because they need to farm them in huge numbers, sometimes 100 animals have to live for 6-8 months just for 1 coat.
Its much easier to stop wearing fur than it is to stop eating meat. Killing animals for meat does not justify killing them for fur.

Some people have said we eat meat so why not kill animals for fur..I think you'l find that animal welfare laws for animals raised and killed for meat are much higher than for fur farm animals. You can pay more for meat farmed in a higher welfare standard- you cant do that for fur.
Also, animals kept for meat are domesticated, animals kept for fur are not, hence they suffer more stress in the captive environment.

Jeez, not that many fashion companies use real fur anymore when artificial fur is a lot cheaper. I doubt they decided to stop using real fur thinking the animal prices are too high, they stopped because faux fur costs less than actual animal pelts.
...I think I've just sunk to a deeper level of hell because I laugh every time I see baby seal clubbing. Does that make me a bad person?

Faux fur is a great and cheap invention... except that it's even cheaper for some exporters to catch and skin loose pets and stray animals than to make the faux fur. Many of the "faux" fur trimmings being used by designers today are still from real animals.

I havent eaten meat since I was six, and i'm 13. I only eat eggs because the chicken embryo was not ertilized, so it is not dying.
