Far too many continuity announcements are perfectly dreadful, usually over-emphasised and badly phrased. I have often felt that the announcers think they are actors and will get a part on TV, which they won't. Someone should point out to them that all they have to do is say what's coming next in a straight-forward manner and stop trying to be "stars".
The habit of splitting the screen for continuity announcements so that you can't read the credits is unnecessary and disgraceful.
