You do realize that Kia is foreign right? They're Korean. And there's no such thing as a terrible automater IMO. Every automaker has their good and bad areas. Chrysler makes great trucks and Minivans, but can't make cars for crap. GM makes some great trucks, SUVs and some good cars, Ford makes good cars and trucks, Toyota and Honda make excellent small cars, and so on. Kia makes some nice models too.
