I love how they're not only focusing on the Harry/Ron/Hermione/Horucruxes aspect of the film, but the whole war with all the major characters. I thought this was something J.K Rowling didn't put until the end of the book, so I thought this movie made it all the more expansive and of grand scope.

@DistantDreamer93 It's the covered wooden bridge that connects the clock tower courtyard to the hillside where Hagrid's Hut and the Owlery are. Hogwarts has been changed a bit for DH2. The landscape in this scene has is flatter than before and the stone circle is gone.

@DistantDreamer93 They probably could have left the hillside in this scene the way it was in the previous films, but I guess they were going for a classic battlefield look and took out the stone circle so Neville and the Snatcers could have a clear view of each other.

Other sets have been changed to make the battle easier to choreograph and make the castle look darker to set the mood of the film.
