All I have to say is: WERK!!!!! I loved the performance, especially the hustle style section towards the middle & end. The man can spin like a top...and I love that he didn't just make his partner do all of the fancy footwork. Those wraps, dips, stalls & changes of direction were on-point. I'd love to see you choreograph a hustle to some modern 80's throwback music, e.g. Lady Gaga, Rihanna, etc. You were FIERCE!!!!!!
wow they danced their asses off. I wished the floor would have been bigger. they needed more space to really cut loose. LOL i love watching this on here reminds me of when i was a little kid. i just loved this show.
Don't worry.....30 years from now fans of Lady Gaga will look back and cringe at the fact that they were fans of hers. You were a part of that world and you were just doing your thing.
OMG that was you dancing?!? What the hell happened to your hair? And why are you wearing Saran wrap. Don't be too embarrassed but I found this totally hilarious.
I'm glad you posted this it is a great testament to authentic period dancing. So few people have any idea what the actual hustle era and disco era were about. Stand proud you pulled a great Bowie rip off. Solid spins and good extension....I'll forgive you on your posture due to over-reaching ; ) People that don't show respect have no class or understanding of an important phase in artist evolution....thank you for your artistic contribution.
Hey Jon - Roland from Tampa here! Still listening to your "Private Workout" CD and got both your "Basic Training" books on my coffee table! My brother Ric was on Dance Fever as well - he and his partner Kathy danced to Bette Midler's "Married Men" - got to the semi-finals too! R.I.P Ric - the dance scene in Tampa just ain't the same without you. :*(
Really good moves by you and your partner. Great work! I really like the song, too. I remember the '80's very well indeed and this sort of dancing was all the rage. It takes hours and hours of practice to perfect those routines.
I used to love this show when I was a little girl. My mom used to watch this show, I was born in 1980, so I guess I probably had been watching since I was a newborn, lol. The set of that show was gorgeous. I always wanted to go on there and Solid Gold just to run around the set.
WOW! JAJAJAJ excellent, been looking for this videos for years. this Tv serie is great, I bet if they bring them back easy can beat any you can dance tv program,
I was a Kid but 70's early 80's were the best dance wonder years
what's so humiliating about this? well, except for the plastic skirt, that's the way it was back then. anyone remember the solid gold dancers? i bet they would truly be embarrassed.
Omg, dance fever. I remember this show like it was yesterday. My mom thought the host was so sexy. I was only a kid but I remember everyone running to the living room when this came on.
I'm sorry but Dancing With The Stars has NOTHING on Dance Fever. I don't care how cheesy the outfits look -- its was the 80s - anything goes - it was pioneering times. Dancing With The Stars tries to copy and fails with their washed up celebrities. Btw, i'm a child of the 80s :)
Yes he did and said in an interview was surprised everyone loved that famous move Travolta does even though he executed it incorrectly than how Deny taught him.
DUDE WHAT was your score??!! That's what I wanna know. I loved this show-- I think I was in the 11th grade and thought I would be a disco queen one day.
Thanks for posting this video! Dance fever had a lot of good music and people with dancing talent. This is one of the best shows when dancing was all about having fun and talent! It brings a lot of memories.
I LOVE IT!!!! Thank you for posting this. I miss Dance Fever, it was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. This represents a time when dancing was FUN, now it's all about booty grinding, B---O---R---I---N---G!!!
